  1. You can further confirm RBAR support by downloading HWInfo and looking for the microcode version, AGESA ComboAM4PIV2. 1.2.0.0 and above have RBAR support. I must say it’s good to see Corsair doing the right thing, although it was incredibly frustrating to see the complete and total lack of commitment leading up to it. While I don’t regret ripping the board out and replacing it with something better, I do wish there was a public acknowledgment of the issue, which probably would have caused me to keep the board that was in there. Either way, nice to see.
  2. Two weeks ago I bit the bullet and swapped out the B550-A Pro in the A7200 for a MSI MEG X570 Unify. Best decision I could’ve ever made. Not only do I have updates again (Resizable BAR!), but it’s also a much better board in general. That being said with how Corsair managed the cables inside the computer (super tight, cut-off zip ties), I absolutely would not recommend everyone rip the board out and replace it. It was obvious that Corsair never intended for someone to change the cabling, which I can’t exactly fault them for. The second point I want to make is for everyone to realize that there is no board manufacturer, including my X570 Unify, that has the newest AGESA update in anything outside of a beta. So with that regard there’s nothing to release yet, as Corsair isn’t going to ship a beta BIOS. I personally am still on the latest official, AGESA 1.2.0.0. There are also additional things that MSI at least changed in the latest beta, include updating the AMD SMU (System Management Utility). So I wouldn’t expect anything before these other board BIOSes leave beta. Lastly, no one should have to do what I did to get updates for a computer that is this expensive, in this day and age. The Vermeer (Zen 3) platform launch was quite frankly not stable, certainly not as stable as Matisse (Zen 2) was. The bare minimum should be following these microcode updates to clean up that mess, it shouldn’t be pulling teeth to get the product to be functionally stable. I would argue there should even be at least one year of bios updates, as I’m sure there will be additional improvements down the line, much like MSI updating the SMU.
  3. An important note is that the USB dropouts not being fixed is not Corsair’s fault, as AMD themselves have not delivered AGESA 1.2.0.2 to motherboard partners yet. ASUS allegedly had a fix in their newest boards, but it’s effectiveness is debatable. AGESA 1.2.0.1 technically is still in beta on most boards as well, so if the USB disconnect issue is the reason you issued the return, know the fix does not exist ANYWHERE as of yet. The concern is they have an updated to 1.2.0.0 which has been available for months, and they refuse to comment on any timetable, which paints a very dark picture as future updates. I went the route of buying a new motherboard because with the inflated prices, it’s not like I can get parts for much cheaper anyway, just now I’m treating it as my own system and ignoring Corsair entirely.
  4. You should have it in your bios listed as “Resizable BAR.” The problem is the current microcode version from AMD in Corsair’s BIOS (AGESA 1.1.0.0) only supports AMD RX 6000 cards. AGESA 1.2.0.0 is needed for NVIDIA cards. I gave up. Call me pessimistic but I’ve owned “gaming” laptops before with locked BIOS, I’ve seen how this story ends. I bought an MSI X570 Unify motherboard which should be here late next week, when I will replace it and end this charade. Looking forward to having real support and fixing some issues, like no RBAR support (AGESA 1.2.0.0), fixing the L3$ cache bug (AGESA 1.2.0.1), and fixing the USB disconnects (AGESA 1.2.0.2). Not to mention if Corsair will support the new Zen 3+ (Warhol) CPUs releasing later this year, as I imagine that will require a BIOS update as well. I certainly hope they do update it for people sticking with their current motherboard, this is absolutely unacceptable on Corsair’s part. They made a decision to lock it down, and they must also be responsible for the updates that come as a part of that.
  5. For those wondering, even with the AC9 BIOS (which wildly isn’t even posted on the downloads page but that’s a whole different issue), resizable BAR does NOT work on NVIDIA GPUs. Resizable BAR and 4G/Mining is enabled in BIOS, VBIOS has been flashed to the 3070 Eagle OC, and I’m using today’s NVIDIA drivers. RBAR is still showing as disabled. Looks like MSI had an additional BIOS update for the B550 A Pro that improved RBAR compatibility with NVIDIA GPUs. This is the fix that we are missing. Corsair needs to make a statement of direction regarding this. If they aren’t going to update their own BIOS, then at the very least say so, so those of us that actually want to stay current on features can replace the motherboard to end this charade... EDIT: In particular AGESA 1.2.0.0 includes the NVIDIA RBAR support. Corsair should at the bare minimum keep up with AMD’s microcode updates, we shouldn’t have to wait for a catastrophic security flaw to get Corsair to update the microcode...
