  1. Doesn't matter now, appreciate the reply to both of you, Corsair have offered a refund as they cannot fathom what is wrong with it, thanks anyway.
  2. It's a mix, sometimes it's the CPU package, other times the GPU, and randomly it can also be the cooler itself, so I've seen just one of these high and the temps being high can "sometimes" cause the fan to go to it's max I am away it's normal, but do you regard having the PC in idle or just web browsing to max out the fans? If I was playing cyberpunk at max everything including Ray tracing, I'd expect this, however I am getting blinking red warning lights and max fans when just web browsing or idle, this is not normal. Yes I suspect it's the cooler or AIO, but corsair support have pretty much given up, it's why I am reaching out to see if anyone had a similar issues, I am thinking to just part it out for sale or sell the whole thing as is, but warning about the random fan issue.
  3. Just wanted to throw this out there, as corsair support have not been able to fix this one. I've been using this system for roughly a year or so, I've owned it for 2, but I was out of the country for quite a bit so just packed it into the box it came in. Anyway, so first few months no issues could play games such as days gone, AC odessey etc, as I was catching up with backlog of games, both these two titles, could run pretty much near max and I didn't have much issues with the fan at all, just a soft whir, very super happy as it pretty much what I wanted a silent gaming rig. however few more months in, now the fan kicks in at the most random of times, I play genshin and it pretty much never turns the fans on, if it does it's sub 1k rpm, which is still fine and great to be fair. However when the system is idle and I do mean super idle, I have closed everything down except for task manager and the icue dashboard, the fan can ramp up to it's max speed, what is is 2200rpm? I know in bios it states can go double that, but not sure it actually does. Anyway, now this system just ramps up the fan speed at the most random of times, it can be idle, sometimes halfway through a film, in games it's random too, sometimes soft whisper which is my preferred, suddenly going super crazy fastest possible and it drives me nuts to be honest. If anyone has any inkling of an idea I am all ears. There isn't a correlation I can put together to make sense of it, sometimes its the package temp is around 70 celcius, and this causes it to up the fan to max, but both gpu and cpu are both low temps I've also seen it where the gpu temps are above 60celcius and everything else is low and the fans go max again. I've also seen the whole system now blinking red lights at me, fans kick in to max, after about 20 minutes it then goes back to whisper quiet again, guess what it was idle the whole time, it is on the table in a really well ventilated room, so it makes no sense at all. Any advice from anyone who has seen anything similar from their system?
  4. Thank you Mint, sent and appreciate you helping out ^_^
  5. Update for any who have similar issues, finally the support team have responded, but it's a typical RMA to return and repair scenario. For me unfortunately I've just requested a straight refund instead as the noise did not dissipate at all, despite trying to angle the unit to see if the air bubbles would work themselves out of the cooling mechanism. I would really like one of these units, the performance was great, loved the design, just a pity the noise was too aggravating :!: So yea, just be aware for new buyers if you get the hdd sounding crackling/crunching sounds. I disabled the mechanical HDD in computer management, so I know it was not active, but the noise was definitely not from that. Good luck to future buyers of the corsair and big thank you to MykeyDay who was kind enough to reply to my initial post!
  6. I actually logged the case before posting on this forum, unfortunately your support guy, decided to merge another older case I have with corsair which was for an RMA with this one, and therefore he managed to change the SLA times on the ticket, so at the moment it's been a week and no response at all. I think safer to just RMA this as I don't think your support technician I've been assigned too has much of a clue on this, but to tidy up his own SLA work log to look good for his own boss. Appreciate you suggesting, but it was already done, before I reached out on the forums. Oh and if you are interested the RMA case has been ongoing for close to 3 weeks and still not resolved, it is a simple refund, so not sure why it takes so long.
  7. Thank you Mykey, I'll see how it performs after a week or so, just so noisey, when it's idle and I'm only probably surfing the net or reading. Glad your issue went away on its own. I love the machine apart from this crackling noise, so ideally don't want to send it back. Fingers crossed and once again thank you for the prompt reply!
  8. Sorry if I am resurrecting an older thread, did anyone get any feedback on this one, as I just recently got myself the Corsair one A100 and I have this exact issue, so wanted to know the result of this from yourselves before I try and get some support on this.
