zaphodikus started following HS70 pro headset beeping at me , Suddenly stopped working and S70 Battery replacement
-
I have had these HS70Pro for ages. They look a bit tatty, have had a battery replacement, but are perfectly fine. Have been considdering buying spare cups. This morning I had to unplug the dongle (repeatedly) and plug it in again to get them to work. Later today, no dice, and it's gone and downloaded some updates and now I am thinking the total lack of support I've ever had, means I really need to go to a different vendor. 1. Is it possible to get spare cups? 2. Should I just buy kit from someone who cares about repeat sales instead?

Welcome to the CORSAIR Community!

Bold font or bold button ^^ does nothing. Maybe it's just my old eyes, or maybe it's my browser, my OS or something else, but it's not working for me, and that pretty much is a defect. Italics button works, but bold, has no discernible effect for me. Thanks in advance. -
HS70 Headset Battery Issues

After seeing loads of overpriced spares - and being generally unimpressed with the WEEE policy of the company. I finally have more than 30 minutes of wireless playtime. I installed a slightly higher capacity replacement for a fraction of all the costs quoted by companies trying to flog you a battery. I know that if you build a car from spares it will cost you 5 times the cost of a new car, but the battery is really like an oil change, governments need to tighten up the rules on waste. So I suggest people get out there, find a reputable seller and use a butter knife on your headset - but be careful with the fine wires. Some hot glue and you are golden again. The power connector is miniature, but lucky the one I bought had the right polarity, you will need a fine blade and good eyes to swap wires on it if not. The new battery I got is slightly wider, but despite the terrible design using fragile wires, the designers did leave plenty of space in there without needing to chisel up any plastic. Literally a small crosshead screwdriver, a hot-glue gun and a butter knife and £14 later I am a happy camper again. No fancy antics. -
iCUE Service "Extremly" High memory usage
zaphodikus replied to thelettereee's topic in CORSAIR iCUE
When in google, Zoom or Teams meetings. Have been seeing high GPU load in Microsoft Teams, but not helped by terrible high RAM usage by the 32bit Corsair service 1.4Gb. Machine pretty much hangs for about a minute to recover as the paging queue length grows during meetings. It's almost as if the service is not handling the wireless dongle unplug re-plug events, and leaking every time the device turns off, or perhaps when the USB driver unloads. Restarting is not a great solution, it's not a great product experience. But at least restarting the service is a clue I can use going forwards. -

Um, please can someone please share which battery exactly was bought on amazon, or if there is an official spare part? I have had my set for about 2 years now and the website is not listing them as a spare part, which sounds just absurd from a WEEE perspective to have that kind of corporate stance. Keen to keep it out of the landfill. -
S70 Battery replacement

Bumping the thread, since everyone says they got one off amazon, but not finding an actual item link. -
No part number? Your website does not specify the specs for the HS70 replacement battery. All I can figure is that it's a LiON, not a LiPo that is required, but not the physical dimensions or a recommended part number. In an age of self-repair and environmental responsibility, forcing customers to buy multiple products till they find one that fits fells a bit of a silly way when simply having a user manual online alongside the quick start might speed things up a tad. I found a reddit thread which points to some folk having moderate success buying random batteries, and struggling to believe that was the plan, I really hope I'm wrong, starting to really love this headset. Do shout if anyone knows where or how to get a reasonably compatible battery.

HS70 Pro keeps beeping
zaphodikus replied to zaphodikus's topic in Gaming Peripherals & Audio Troubleshooting
Oh Just realised after creating a second new thread, that this is still happening on one computer, but not on the other computer. Any clues? -
yes. I already did a reset, and an update and I charged the battery. Are there diagnostic logs we can use to take the guesswork out of this? cheers

When I visit the downloads page its missing the patch notes for 3,.38 which I just installed now. I am assuming 3.38 is actually malware and the update has gotten hacked? Please confirm that 3.38 is in fact legit.

Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless Turn on and off Problems
zaphodikus replied to Fatalboloto's topic in Audio
The RMA form wants a serial number and a part number It wants me to actually take the ear cup apart to find the part number, why does iCue not just show these informations? I'm not taking the thing apart? why would I do that?:sigh!: Where would I find the serial number to photograph it? Thanks in advance. -

Even after doing the "reset", It still does not pair reliably. I have 2 computers, and 50% of the time when I plug in the dongle, it wont work on either machine. have to often wait about 15 seconds, unplug, wait 15, and then replug the dongle. I'm quite disappointed and have already had to dissuade people from buying this set, they are nice and comfortable and work really well, when they pair that is. The annoying thing is when they are in their "fail to pair" state, turning them on I hear a 1/2 second of computer audio after the boop-beep, but they are then "dead" . The fact it works most of the time makes it hard for me to just ask for an RMA, but the stress this product that should work, and is otherwise great, is creating is not worth the pain. -

I have now turned off the "auto-power off" I have now turned off voice prompts I'm not getting any more pointers, and if the above "disable" settings don't work I'll be raising a ticket, It takes almost 5 minutes to get the headset working every morning and again every evening, it's not a good waste of time. 1. plug in and wait for it to not work (headset must be in "up-boop" or connecting mode) 2. unplug dongle, wait at least 1 minute 3. plug dongle. toggle headset off and then on, very slowly wait a decent while between presses. Not good enough. -

Having this problem myself too now. And the headset is pretty rubbish after working fine for ages - I use the headset on 2 computers. 1. plug in dongle, wait about 5 seconds 2. turn on headset , wait 5 seconds Now around 1/4 attempts, it will work, but mostly, I have to turn off headset, turn on headset - do this very slowly else it gets twisted Mostly - unplug dongle , wait, replug dongle, wait, unplug dongle, wait, the replug it. then it will work. It seeeeeems like this works 1. plug in dongle, turn on headset - ignore the nonworkingness 2. unplug, wait 15 sec, plug in dongle. Any idea why guys?
