    XMP issue

I set my voltage up to 1.35 and timings and 16,18,18,18,36 and tRC at 55. Seems OK so far. Ran a Cinebench which scored 7172 but did not crash which is the important part. After searching for my RAM model it appears the Gigabyte XMP issue is common. I was just a little freaked out as it happened when I started cranking stuff around in BIOS. I might wait a few days before I start trying to replicate the Ryzen Master config into the BIOS :) Thanks again

    XMP issue

Well that is good info and glad to hear that as I really thought I had toasted something. So what have you set manually? I set my memory multiplier to 32 and I think I bumped the voltage up 1/10. Thanks again!

    XMP issue

Hey gang, Let me start off by saying I have been in the IT business for 20 years but am clueless when it comes to overclocking and BIOS tweaks. I have a Gigabyte X570 Auros Pro WiFi board with a 3900x in it. I have two sticks of CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 memory (32gb total). Its only about 3 weeks old and has been running great. I started watching some videos about XMP and overclocking. XMP seemed to snap things up a bit and was working fine. I also started messing with Ryzen master and that was doing well but did not like having to apply the settings in Ryzen Master so I thought I would transfer those settings to the BIOS. Pretty soon I was blue screening so might not have got something correct. I put the BIOS back to stock but the BSODs continued. Figured I had done some damage to the OS as the type of BSOD was different eat time. So installed a fresh copy of windows and enabled XMP again. Tons of random bluescreens again. I thought I had damaged a CPU or something but started with a memcheck86 test. Tons of errors. Eventually I remembered XMP was on and shut it off and then the memtest was clean. I have XMP off now and tried setting the memory mult to 32. I was looking for 1600 as most people talk about that but this BIOS must need to be 32. Is that right? Any advice would be appreciated. The CPU and case is well cooled so heat is not an issue. Or I dont think so. Best, Rich
