Maybe next time they make a new keyboard named "champion PRO ULTRA MEGA 2.0", it won't be possible to remap anything at all or the keyboard can have only one key - FN, right? Sorry, but this is really stupid.

Really? I joked in my original post that it was a "feature", and I really didn't expect it to be. I don't know about others, but I understand a "feature" as something that is useful, an improvement, but here they actually just fitted the keyboard with an extra piece of plastic that is completely useless, or does someone really switch the backlighting so often that they have to have another dedicated key for it? And btw. even the default FN + something combinations don't work for me, so is this a feature too? I'd be really interested to hear Corsair's response, ideally from the person who thought this up, because it must have taken a lot of work to come up with this crap. What the hell is the reason we can't remap that key???

Hi, I just bought this keyboard and opposite to my K100 OPX I am unable to remap FN key at all. In key assignments page I can remap all keys, but when hovering over FN it remains blanks. Is this a bug, "feature" or what?

I can't believe no one else is interested in what I asked - have a chance to decide how the FN key will behave, including the behavior of older keyboards - remap it to just another regular key without any connection to macros or key blocking. By upgrading to K100 we lost one key for no real reason - nice decision you did for us Corsair! Like it isn't enough to have much worse media keys comparing to your older keyboards - on K100 if you accidentally press any media key in top part, they don't react at all - this never happened with your older keyboards - why to change something what worked perfectly? Did a designer of K100 had to fulfill some crazy requirement from management to change number of things so it looks like there is some improvement? Sadly there isn't... new optical switches are enough for most people to buy this keyboard, while the other changes held me back for a while (and not only me). On the end I bought it, but besides the new switches, everything else is worse than before:( Please at least let us remap and change behavior of this stupid FN key!!!

Oh, thanks for perfect answer! Although I am bit disappointed that I can not remap this Fn key to whatever I want and change its behavior. I believe it won't be that hard to let users decide which behavior they want - through your iCUE software and it would improve the versatility a lot (for example remapping shift to Fn key and pressing it with thumb while playing on UJKH or keeping original behavior which u described if anyone needs it). Because I think now it is just dead key for most people which is very sad taking into account how great this keyboard overall is...

Any update please? I still don't know if RMA my keyboard as this key was one of the reasons I bought it...

Hi guys, I recently bought K100 opt keyboard (second one, first one got malfunctioned extra keys) and found that pressing FN key completely disables all other keys. If I hold FN key down, no other keys are recognized. I found it when I remapped FN key to Shift key, but no key combinations were working (Shift + K etc...). After some investigation I found FN key is correctly remapped to Shift key (keyboard tested, both Shift and FN key presses were recognized as Shift), but problem was that when I held down FN key, no other keys were working. I tried to completely uninstall and re-install iCUE, but without success, issue remained. Is this intended behavior? Because if it is, then this key is completely useless and a fu*king joke... Thanks in advance!

My profile key also works every single time, but when I press it it makes double click noise and some weird clank sound. Profile key is my least problem, it at least works, but the mute button is tough on left side and I have to press it on the right side or maybe in the middle exactly, but if I press it more on left side, nothing happens, it does not move at all. And the media keys still sucks so...:)

Hi, I just bought K100 OPT keyboard and after few short investigation and usage could not stop wondering... I won't speak about opt keys, they are perfect (if they work as they should, but that is probably just first revision build issue), but what about the extra keys? Why the **** someone thought it is a good idea to throw away old, many years proved design and replaced it with this unreliable, feeling ****ty, clicky bull****? Profile key often double clicks (not really, but from sound and feeling perspective), mute button works only on right side and all media buttons feel like child toy for 1$ **** - these are probably the worst as if you don't press them perfectly, they simply don't register the press! My old K95 (now second one) got 100000* better extra keys, they felt sturdy, reliable, I never had to press them again because they didn't register the click, but this K100 crap must come from some non-experienced student designer which had to show he actually did some work and changed something comparing to old, perfectly functional design. Stop this **** please! If something works, don't touch it! This killed the keyboard for me, returning it (tried 2 pieces, both same crappy extra keys so (probably) not a build issue). If you create K101 with old extra buttons but new opt key, I will buy it, but otherwise this is a huge step back because becoming angry every time I have to press any extra button on this 300$ keyboard (it costs that much in my country) is not worth the money, it wouldn't be worth a half of it! Sorry for my tone, but I really hate if some "could be great" product is killed by someone's stupid idea to make it different for no real reason, just to show he did something. I just expect from other to work as I do and in the world full of **** products when there appears something what seems to be an exception I am really angry when on the end is not...

Hello guys, Recently I found this strange issue. Occasionally "K" button stops working for few seconds. There are 2 scenarios how this happen - either I press "K" and it has like 1-2 seconds delay and then it works normally or the press is completely ignored for few seconds, but then it starts working again. When this happens I tried to open notepad and hold that "K" button, it was typing it "non flawlessly", like in batches, lagging... but again, it stopped after few seconds, I had to be really fast to see this behavior - alt tab from game, open notepad and hold "K". It is not related to any specific game or games at all, it happens also when programming, but there its harder to notice because it can be easily mixed with incorrect or insufficient button press, but in games its visible immediately. Once this happened to me and didnt fixed itself in few seconds, after few minutes it was still not working so I tried some things and what helped was closing iCUE running in the background. Then I tried to remove iCUE completely, install again, forced firmware update and created new default profile. Lightning is just static, no effects. For few weeks it was fine (maybe not related to what I did because this happens really spontaneously), but today it happened again. It is always button "K" and I dont think it is hw related, it reacts perfectly when it works, same as other buttons. Any ideas please? Addition: Today it happened with the "J" key for the first time.

Big + to this! I am interesting in the Dark Core Pro SE and what holds me back is lack of wheel tilt and also 1 less button - like the older Dark Core had - but possitioned differently, similarly to Logitech G502, but not as far as Logitech got it. Make that mouse, put any price tag, I will buy it:)
