So I got the NZXT internal USB splitter. Didn't work right away, but I disabled the malfunctioning USB device, enabled it, and.. it worked! Hopefully it doesn't disappear again (or give me other issues) but for now put me tentatively in the X570 needed an internal USB splitter to work with com pro category.

Actually maybe the internal USB splitter did work.. I disabled the USB device with the malfunction in my device manager, then enabled it, and it detected a device.. now it seems to work.. hopefully it won't disappear again. Otherwise it seems like the NZXT or whatever internal USB thing did the trick (so far)

Nope, completely fresh Windows. All I have is Steam, Skype, Discord, and Chrome.

Dunno if it's the same issue, but here's my story New PC, Commander Pro shows up day one. Next day it's gone. I heard a USB disconnect sound during the night I think. Rebooted, nothing. Turned off aura sync on reboot, it shows up again. Again, later on I hear a disconnect. Now it hasn't appeared for 3 days. Rebooting, reinstalling, updating, nothing helps. Also in my USB list under device manager there's one with an error about name retrieval. My RGB and my fans are on the last settings I applied but I wish it would just show up and work.. Not sure if it's defective or what? ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus WIFI Mobo AMD Ryzen 9 3950x RTX 2080ti Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 4x8 H150i RGB AIO 6LL120 RGB fans 500D SE RGB with commander pro and RGB hub 6 fans on LED1, Corsair RGB strip on LED2 LS100 Ambient Lighting Starter Kit As you can see I'm invested in this ecosystem so it's frustrating to not have the controller visible and controllable.

Noticed in my device manager that I have an Unknown USB device (Device descriptor failed). I also heard the USB failed sound a couple times and got a USB device malfunctioned error in windows It hasn't shown up again. Tried changing the USB header it was on on my mobo, no luck

Just took my PC apart, unplugged it all, changed the ports. Same issue.

I'm having the same issue with my commander pro not being detected, all new system, all from amazon black friday if that's relevant. Was detected fine yesterday, today, nothing.

This is amazing to read. I went all corsair products, all hyped to enjoy this, finally got my 3950x I've been having issues with icue closing, now it won't detect my commander pro for no reason, and now I find out it's gimping my hardware. I'm not going to lie I'm very upset, I've spent thousands of dollars on all of this

Hi. So I'm going to start before my current PC. I ended up buying fully into the corsair ecosystem at my friends recommendation, and bought a new PC during black friday sales. But I had to wait on my new CPU which I got this week. While waiting, I ended up getting ambient lighting strips for my old PC, to prepare. This is where I noticed problem one. ICue shuts down randomly, closes itself for no apparent reason. This happens on both my old PC and my entirely new PC (the only thing shared among them is the GPU). Today however, I woke up and not only did ICUE shut down, now it won't detect the commander pro in my new computer. All the fans are still working and the RGB is on its last effect, I literally just slept and the computer didn't even go into sleep mode, it just downloaded stuff during the night with my monitors off. I've rebooted, reinstalled. It won't show up. ICUE just closed itself too as if to mock me. I'm not going to lie, I'm very frustrated. I essentially a LOT of money on all of this getting entirely corsair products, and it's essentially not working now. In researching the problem, the best I could find was 8 months ago someone said the closing icue problem was a known issue and was a top priority.. no reply after 8 months with people asking if there's any update Like I said I spent a lot of money on all of this, this is a big problem for me
