1. I'm considering buying my first Vengeance PC. I love my M65 Pro mouse, Strafe MK.2, and Void headset. I use Ubuntu on my 2 main computers. However, my gaming machine still has Windows. With so much Linux support via Steam's Proton, one of the few things holding me back is the lack of full Linux support from Corsair. Please give us proper Linux support for ICUE.
2. What brand of video card comes with VENGEANCE i7300 Gaming PC? For example: SKU CS-9050028-NA
3. The updater had no status bar and did not appear to be doing anything. Canceled, it wiped out all my macros. Thankfully, I had backups, but this is a serious issue. 1. Is the installer supposed to have a status bar? Something showing percentage would be helpful. 2. I run as a Windows User account, but the app runs as administrator. 3. Would be nice for Corsair to include cloud support to automatically backup macros. 4. Make it easier to find old Corsair ICUE downloads. Yes, you can type it in manually, but some people are getting them from 3rd party websites which is less secure. The new links appear to be
https://downloads.corsair.com/Files/CUE/iCUESetup_X.XX.XXX_release.msi
4. I think you can still stop a macro with profile switching. For example, switch from Profile 1 to Profile 2. I would often just swap between my Windows and Gaming profile, which seemed to stop a running macro. I just bought and returned my Strafe keyboard. I need timers for buffing game characters at intervals. We also lost OSD On-Screen Display. Went and bought a Razer keyboard, hopefully it will last longer than their Razer's junk mice. Multi-threaded macros for Corsair would be a huge plus.
5. Ended up buying the Strafe MK.2. Works as needed. Nice keyboard and it looks like I can map pretty much any key. I also like the face that I can swap for textured keys.
6. Will I be able to map a macro to any key or am I limited to just the G keys? For example, can I map a macro to W,S,A,D, etc.? Thank you
7. I am looking to purchase an older Corsair keyboard that I can reassign most any key to a macro. If possible, I am looking for a wired, quiet, non-mechanical keyboard that works with ICUE 3.x. Would any of the K55 keyboards work for this purpose or what would you guys recommend? Thank you P.S. If I have to get a mechanical for the fully programmable keys, give me some options.
8. I'm not happy with version 4. The UI is much more complicated and requires many more clicks to accomplish the same thing. I will be reverting to 3 from backups and will most likely not be purchasing Corsair products in the future, due to the the overly complicated UI of 4.
9. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/970A-G46/Specification This is my board. I know it is old. However, I would like to upgrade the RAM to 16GB or 32GB. The website states dual channel, though the manual states quad channel. I am not sure if that is a typo. To get the best performance without overclocking, can I use 4 8GB chips or would I have better performance with 2 8GB chips? Again, I am not sure about the dual/quad. 1. Which configuration will get me the best/fastest performance? 2. Will I lose the dual channel, if I install 4 chips? 3. Does this board actually have quad channel? 4. I would like to use 1866 Mhz RAM, since it does not appear to require overclocking. I am already OCing the AMD 8150 @ 4Ghz. What Corsair RAM can I use for this? 5. Power Supply is Corsair 1050. Not sure what else to ask. Thanks for any help.
10. The longest macro delay appears to be 99999ms, I needed to make a macro that executed every 5-15 minutes to put a buff, effect or reminder on a game character. I was able to make this work by creating a timer and a way to stop that timer. The following screenshots show that I made my buff macro that is executed by a timer (15 seconds, although it can be any amount of time, minutes, hours) and a way to stop the timer and all macros by switching to another profile temporarily. One limitation that I found is that I can only repeat the timer 999 times. I hope this helps others. I own the M65 Pro and it is one of the best mice that I have ever used thanks to ICUE.
