  1. So i bought these fans a while ago and they would not light up, eventually after troubleshooting them for a while i had to RMA (and had to pay shipping myself) I installed the new ones and they worked for a bit... until they didnt, i was able to get them to light up again somehow like this. 1. plugged a separate power supply (lights turn on) 2. plug original pc's power supply and it worked fine ...until it didn't Now, Again! the fans wont light up, the previous trick with the separate power supply doesn't work. I've tried everything and as much as i loved corsair i'm starting to think it's just problem with the product design itself. I'm willing to try everything i can to fix it but I REALLY don't want to pay another 35$ shipping to RMA it AGAIN. at this point the shipping to get it replaced is about to become more expensive than the product itself Things tried 1. separate USB cable 2. separate PSU 3. Reset button 4. any combination of switching the ports on the lighting hub any help is appreciated
  2. sigh... i guess so. Thanks for the help though!
  3. Yep tried that, I plugged in a different USB cable from the rear IO to the node and no change. I also plugged my keyboard in to the USB cable that came with the node and there's nothing wrong with the cable. I tried unplugging the sata power and plugging back in a few times and still no change Tried a different port on the power supply, still nothing
  4. Ok so here is what i did 1. uninstalled link + configuration data 2. uninstalled iCUE 3. Rebooted PC 4. installed iCUE from website 5. Tested -> not working lighting node still not detected (only my m65 mouse) 6. Rebooted 7. Tested -> no change any ideas? here are my specs if that helps MOBO: asus X99-A CPU: 5820K GPU: R9 390X PSU: EVGA 850 G2 (80+ gold) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz
  5. I have corsair link and icue installed on a 64 bit windows operating system. I also have the option of booting to Linux which I didn't try but I doubt it's supported
  6. I just set up my new fans and I can't get the leds working, everything is plugged correctly What I tried -connecting a different USB cable -reset button on the node -testing power on connector that connects fan hub to the lighting node (5v on one pin on each device) -testing the last pin on the 1-6 connectors on the fan hub (5v) I don't know what else to try, I think the fans might be DOA
