  1. The HP bios do not have any options to set speeds, that is why I mentione power management, since it does affect cpu speed and may also affect overall performance by reducing clocks when computer on stand by. Other than that there is no other options, bios is pretty basic The only thing I can figure out is the ram compatibility, it should be a PC3-12800, the sticks are PC3-12800 so the only remaining options are if timings or anything else is not matched, causing this problem.
  2. I recently noticed that my RAM - which should be correct for the computer - is running at 1333Mhz instead of 1600Mhz on an olde HP Desktop, the EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF. The speed has been checked both in BIOS, reports 1333, and in Windows, also reports 1333 - on 1600 modules. This is the RAM in question: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/High-Performance-Memory/Vengeance%C2%AE-Low-Profile-%E2%80%94-16GB-Dual-Channel-DDR3-Memory-Kit/p/CML16GX3M2A1600C10 HP's recommendation is industry-standard 240-pin unbuffered non-ECC PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 MHz-compliant 1.35 volt or 1.5 volt DDR3/DDR3L-SDRAM DIMMs support CAS latency 11 DDR3 1600 MHz (11-11-11 timing) contain the mandatory JEDEC SPD information 512-Mbit, 1-Gbit, and 2-Gbit non-ECC memory technologies single-sided and double-sided DIMMs DIMMs constructed with x8 and x16 DDR devices; DIMMs constructed with x4 SDRAM are not supported Something might be wrong and the Corsair Memory Finder don't seem to have this system. Any advice? BTW this is obviously not the PC that is listed in my Specs.
  3. Greetings, I have a 540 that is placed horisontally. It suited me better to have it like that. See image: http://www.conram.com/pubimg/05.jpg Recently I removed the 3'5" HDD fasteners as seen on this image: Now I have two holes in what was the bottom of the chassi but is currently the rear of the chassi. Any ideas what I can put there that would fit from Corsair Accessories?
