Yes!! I will now use Full control so I can have my RGB RAM turn off while sleeping!

I am waiting for this one too... With this new driver, I hope that I'll software control will be better on the CPU to have my RAM modules turn off when the computer sleeps...

Rainbow Channel has been added as a lighting effect for HW Playback for fans and strips. This is the default effect for LL fans that many have asked for Yeah!!

I really think 3.19 should have been pulled at this time. The issue is very difficult to troubleshoot on its own. It's not as simple as iCUE.exe taking all the CPU so it would be easy to identify. Instead it is the high system interrupts causing all sorts of issues. Moreover, if you use LatencyMon or similar tools, you will be mislead by other stuff such as video drivers or HD audio being the culprit... We had an official word from Corsair, but no details or ETA for a fix. More people might be affected, but they might not be reading the forums and still trying to figure out what is going on... At least, if the software is not pulled, there should be a statement/advisory, especially that they seem to have found the root cause at least 12 days ago... 3.18 seems to be a good version for me at least... though I'm waiting for a new version so I can get my profiles back...

That's one of the symptoms, because the CPU is constantly hogged by those interrupts.

You are using iCUE 3.19 right? What Corsair device do you have? Have you looked in Task Manager > Performance tab if you have constant high usage on one of your core while idle? Be sure to show all logical processors in the graph. Typically, system interrupts should normally be between 0-1% while idle.

Check for "System Interrupts" in Task Manager > Details tab. The CPU usage would be around 3-8% depending on the number of cores/thread you have. If you have 12 cores/threads like me, the usage should be hovering around 6%. Also, go under "Performance" tab in Task Manager, right click on the graph and select Change graph to > Logical processors Look for the first core and check if the usage is high 80%+

I didn’t have update KB4512941 installed and it seems to be Cortana or search processes with high CPU usage not hardware interrupts.

Latency Monitor will show you drivers that are taking a long time for execution. This is not always the driver to blame. Currently you are seeing nvidia driver causing latency, but in fact hardware interrupts are causing that latency to other drivers and since the video card is frequently used, you are seeing more latency on the nvidia driver. I had the same observation and I did a huge file transfer over my gigabit network adapter and the driver "to blame" became NDIS. Your Nvidia driver is fine. Issue goes away with iCUE 3.18. Hardware interrupts are very high priority and interrupt the CPU execution thus causing those delays and apparent lag.

In my case, the high CPU usage on a single core is not caused by a high software usage, such as a loop, but hardware interrupts. When iCUE starts, I see the number of hardware interrupts go high during the device detection phase. It seems like iCUE is polling devices and one of them is starting to do these hardware interrupts, not the iCUE.exe process itself. Some were pointing towards RGB RAM. I've made screenshots of the usage with 3.18 and 3.19 for comparison. We can see at the bottom the big difference in interrupt delta. Interrupts at 6% may not represent a lot, but 100% /12 cores = 8% or 75% of core 0 on my PC. The problem is that drivers, such as graphics card, are affected by the latency these interrupts are causing, hence the FPS drop in games. Also, when I was closing iCUE and stopping Corsair service, the interrupts would not drop until a reboot. I disabled the service and automatic startup of iCUE and i didn't have any problem until I started iCUE manually. At least that's my understanding... CPU usage is an aggregated value of all the cores/threads of the CPU. So if you have a 12-thread cpu, a 100% core usage would show up as 100% / 12 threads = 8%. To have 100% in the task manager all cores would have to be 100% used. This is why in task manager you need to show logical cores to see the usage on each core, otherwise CPU usage may appear low globally.
