  1. I managed to source a couple 3 packs. The ones in my case are quiet except when i turn on full speed. It also for some reason turns them to full speed for a few seconds when i open the xbox app which is wierd. I was trying to find another 3 pack so i can make a wind tunnel for my series x and fill in the last spot on the case (7x120s) and maybe even one more 3 pack to get a corsair AIO and swap the fans out for the hd ones so the whole case matches. On the panels, it looks like the white ones are clear, but i wouldnt like the clashing colors. I wonder if i can take the panels to a glass place and see if they can duplicate the panels but with clear glass instead of shaded.
  2. I love my new 5000x case, but im wondering if the side panel and front panel comes in completely clear tempered glass, rather than the dark shade that came with the case. Im curious because I would like to be able to appreciate my internals and fan setup in full brightness. My other question is about the HD series fan. I know they were discontinued, but why were they discontinued? Aesthetically i like them better than the other fans, and they perform surprisingly well.
  3. I am not going to mix the fan types, only the fan sizes. If it is possible, id like to go with 4 hd120's (3 front intake, 1 rear exhaust) and 2 140s (top exhaust). However, i am concerned about the timing of the lighting. If there are more LED's in the 140 compared to the 120, the timing will be off. Im wondering if anyone can help me out and tell me if there is a different in LED amount in each fan size. If there isnt, this is the setup ill go with. If the fan size's do affect timing, ill go with 6 of the white LL120's as they have the best cfm. Also, since LL doesnt have hardware playback, does have a hardware profile on my corsair keyboard keep track of that? it works that way for my mouse pad. Im going to get a 465x so i have out of the box lighting, and swapping stock fans with one of the above setups.
  4. Rainbow Road I read somewhere that Asus and iCUE dont like running at the same time. So im looking for a MOBO and a 2070 graphics card that works well with other Corsair internals. I chose that motherboard and graphics card specifically because userbenchmark says they are pretty high performing for that price point. Anyone got an opinion on what MOBO and graphics card manufacturer i could swap to, because unfortunately corsair doesnt make either. I dont care if its got an ugly bios. My current build uses a gigabyte mobo. Problem is the monitor i have doesnt support 4k, and the plastic tab protecting the display port on the graphics card is wedged behind the bars so i cant remove it. The mobo also has to have wifi and 2 m2 slots, because im wanting the performance boost. Besides, the 4tb 860 evo is $600 and i dont need that much storage anymore since i have everything important on my computer, and backups in the cloud or for stuff that isnt a 24/7 access kind of need, so 4 TB of storage (probably 3.5tb) is more than enough. I would also like to know if i should swap out the liquid cooler for a fan based one that fits in the case, and use the top 2 140 slots for HD140s. Also, the spec-omega seems to have issues with Ram clearance. Id also like to note that i wont be building this myself, ill be having a friend do it.
  5. Im would love all my peripherals be Corsair. I would love a gamepad by them, as i will be getting in the mail tomorrow a k70 rgb with mx blue's, and im using the mm800 and glaive as mouse pad and mouse respectively. I used to use a afterglow controller for my xbox one and pc gaming, before they altered the design to where it is basically turd with christmas lights. However, i loved the aesthetics of the controller. It just seemed so "Corsair" to me. The outer edge of the controller had a LED tube, which had rainbow lighting but could also be static. I prefer rainbow. The changes they made removed the tube, and replaced it with 4 little bulbs in the controller, not attractive at all. To me, I bought it because it reminded me of Corsair stuff, and the rgb app didnt conflict with iCUE. If Corsair did a kickstarter i would totally donate a $100 to it.
