I think the keyboard will use the Hardware Lighting profile when connected via Bluetooth (i.e., not connected via the USB dongle).

iCue 5 works just fine with my K100 Air. When you say the keyboard is no longer visible in iCue, do you mean the keyboard doesn't show up, the USB dongle doesn't show up, or neither shows up? Have you tried repairing the keyboard and the dongle? You may need to connect the keyboard via a USB cable to reset the pairing.

I actually went ahead and did the update...just because. Went well and system is running fine. But I can't tell any difference.

I would return it. My K100 Air works perfectly. I currently have three active profiles - 1 slipstream and 2 Bluetooth. Everything works fine. So it's likely you have a bad one.

The K100 is definitely usable where the G915 is not,

They are partially lit - maybe half the brightness of the primary functions - and I have no problem seeing them. By comparison, the K100 Air is much better than the Logitech G915 in this regard. I really liked the G915 but it was basically unusable in a dark room because the secondary functions were invisible.

I can't speak to the i400 because it's new. But I have an i300 that I'm very happy with (and an i160 before that - also very happy). It looks like the i400 is essentially similar to the i300 I have. GPU - RTX 3080, same in both CPU - i300 has an i9-12900k; i400 has an i7-13700KF. So the i400 has the newest Intel chip, but not the fastest version. That's probably a good thing - it still should be plenty fast but run cooler. I'd be happy with an i7 in my i300. RAM - 32GB DDR5 in both, but i400 is a bit faster (5600MHz vs 4800MHz) Storage - NVMe SSD in both, but i300 is bigger (2TB vs 1 TB) Motherboard, IO, etc the same in both Apart from the storage, the i400 looks really good. And much cheaper than the i300 was when I bought mine. And I added a SATA SSD to my i300, so I suspect you can do that too - just need a SATA cable (shorter the better - it's a compact build). I've really liked both my Corsair Ones. Great design and build quality. Fits and looks great on my desk and handles anything I throw at it. If I were buying one today, I'd go with the i400.

I know some folks here have been asking for a BIOS update for some time, and I look forward to hearing how the update goes and what functionality/fixes it adds. I'm more of the not broke/don't fix school where BIOS updates are concerned.

What are you guys doing in terms of updating iCue? Are you running the most recent version?

I think the LEDs are set to flash red in the event of excessive heat - I assume based on coolant temperature. And I think the side flashing signifies the component (CPU or GPU) affected - so both sides flashing would mean overheating of both components. But I don’t see that in your temperature readings. I expect the i164 should run cooler than the more recent 200 and 300 series, which have components that run hotter, so I may be misinterpreting the temps in your situation. But I really don’t think so. Wonder if it’s a software issue. Have you updated iCue?

Those temperatures look fine to me, especially during gaming. Not sure what's up with the LEDs but it doesn't look to me like your PC is overheating.

Your temps are high but reasonable. What were you doing when you got those numbers - idle or gaming?

I sometimes set mine back to Default just to see if it works. It almost always does, but I've seen a few times when it stays stuck at 0 even when the heat builds up. I think it just works more reliably if it's always running - even at a very low speed.

Glad to hear it's working. I run a 50% custom setting full time and it works well. Still virtually silent and keeps things bit cooler. Your temps look fine, so you could try an even lower setting if the fan bothers you.

You say the fan kicked in. But iCue is showing 0 rpm. So is the fan running or not? Assuming the fan is running, I assume you can rule out that the fan has failed or become disconnected. It sounds like iCue has stopped controlling the fan. I've had instances with my i300 where iCue has temporarily lost control of the fan. In most cases, the fan stopped running at all, but I've seen a couple of instances where the fan revved up to full speed. I've always been able to fix it pretty easily. Here's what has worked for me: What fan profile are you running - Default, Extreme or Custom? Try changing the profile - or setting a Custom profile if you haven't already (try 50%) - and see if the fan settles down. Reboot your PC. (I assume you've already tried that, but you never know - some folks go months without rebooting.) Reboot iCue. Quit iCue in the system tray and then reload it. See if it picks up the fan again. Uninstall/reinstall iCue. I've never had anything other than a temporary problem with the fan and rebooting either the PC or iCue or temporarily changing the fan profile has always solved it. Good luck.

I'm on the latest iCue version (4.29.203) and I literally deleted all the stock keyboard presets because I never use any of them. Only preset I have is the one I created myself. One other thing: I also have a Corsair One, and when I have a "Scene" selected for it, that setting seems to override the keyboard setting. So if I select the default Corsair One Scene for my Corsair One, I end up with only solid blue keys on the K100, and I couldn't find a way to change them and make it stick. So I deselected the Scene and set the lighting for my Corsair One manually. And it now works independent of the keyboard setting. Nothing about the iCue interface - literally noting - makes any sense. One can't help but wonder if anyone at Corsair has actually ever used it.

I had the same problem with my new K100 air. iCue is about as user-friendly as a Byzantine jigsaw puzzle, but I think this is what made it work for me. As best I can tell, Hardware Lighting is what the keyboard will run if iCue is not open. That's why the effects disappear when iCue is running. To get the effects to appear while iCue is running, you need to take the effects you saved in Hardware Lighting and repeat them in Lighting Effects. Those effects will then work when iCue is running. Anyway, that's what I did and it all works fine now, whether iCue is running or not. Took me about three hours of trial and error to figure it out, so there may be a simpler method. But that's what worked for me eventually.

Same here. It started after the Windows 11 22H2 update. I think perhaps Diagnostics is looking for a Windows file that the update removed.
