  1. Hi! All thermal pads on the Ventus GPU block should be 1mm thick. I would suggest opening a support ticket. Our tech support will be able to assist better and proceed with additional checks to determine the origin of the issue.
  2. Yes, in the 5000 series case, you can have XD7 on front and XR5 360 on the side.
  3. 3080 Founders Edition and 3080 Ti Founders Edition have identical PCB boards. There are some differences with components, +2 GDDR6X MEM ICs, additional VRM phases, and supporting components but none of them are problematic for the 3080 FE GPU water block. Screw socket or standoff is not supposed to go through the PCB hole. Are you using any additional thermal pads except the thermal pads that are pre-installed on the GPU water block? In your image, the white pad under the backplate looks like the original one. I would suggest contacting our technical support for further assistance.
  4. Hi! Yes, 3080 Ti Strix fits the existing Hydro X Series XG7 RGB 30-SERIES STRIX GPU Water Block (3090, 3080, 3070). Compatibility lists are being updated and will be pushed live later this day.

  6. Not on the (2080 FE Rev.B) New manifold design is used on newer models: 2080 Ti SE and recent NVIDIA 30-Series and RX 6900/6800.
  7. Hi, Based on this image, I think it could work. There seems to be enough width and 'depth' to fit XM2 water block. Here's additional information that might help you since you have the actual board and if you are able to take measurements with a caliper. Width of XM2 unit (with bracket) is 23mm. Required clearance under the M.2 PCB is 2.1mm.
  8. Hi Sui, Sorry to let you know that there are no plans to make a dedicated XG7 GPU water block for the AMD 6700 Reference PCB. It's not the same PCB as used on 6900/6800.   9. It depends on which Ventus model you have. There are three known MSI 2080 Ti Ventus models: Ventus - compatible with both, CX-9020005-WW or CX-9020010-WW Ventus GP - compatible only with CX-9020010-WW Ventus OCV1 - not compatible with any SE has an additional cutout on the black cover to allow installation on PCBs that have a third DP connector instead of USB-C. Make sure to check on which specific Ventus model you are using.

  11. Sorry, currently, there is no information about the potential availability of the Hydro X kit in the white version. At this point, I would suggest choosing corresponding parts in white color as a separate item from the full product list here or designing your loop with help of the Custom Cooling Configurator.
  12. Hi! I would love to help out with detailed measurements but I don't have such specific information at hand, sorry. All of the XG7 GPU water blocks come with a backplate. The 3090 FE backplate does have additional thermal pads to make contact with GDDR6X memory ICs. 2-slot IO bracket is also enclosed with the XG7 RGB 30-SERIES GPU Water Block (3090 FE). Dimensions of the 3090 FE GPU water block I do have at hand that might help with planning. Length: 210mm Width (installed on 3090 FE PCB): 161mm / original 3090 FE width is 138mm. Thickness: 2-slots FYI, all of the dimensions are taken into account when designing with Custom Cooling Configurator, suggest checking it out to validate compatibility with your case.
  13. Hi! The leaking stories about the Hydro X Series XG7 blocks are related to extreme pressure and torsion on the manifold part. Under normal use, with either soft or hardline tubing, Hydro X Series blocks will not leak. Based on thousands of happy Hydro X customers, a leaking manifold terminal is not a recurring complaint. However, we have updated the manifold and added a third screw to the manifold terminal. The new design is used on XG7 RGB 20-SERIES GPU Water Block (2080 Ti SE) and all of the new GPU water block models for NVIDIA 30-Series and AMD RX-Series.
  14. Hi! There will be a GPU water block for the new AMD graphics cards based on the reference PCB layout. The Custom Cooling Configurator and GPU compatibility tool already lists plenty of compatible GPU models.

  16. Thanks for sharing your first-hand experience! This might be a valuable confirmation for other enthusiasts seeking to go with a direct die mounting. A note for anyone that might want to try based on your confirmation. This information is based on XC7 RGB CPU Water Block (1200/AM4) and LGA 1200 motherboards with capacitor placement and capacitor height as on Gigabyte Z490 Master. Capacitors around the CPU socket are placed on or outside of the square that is defined by the CPU cooler mounting holes around the CPU socket.
  17. Yes, you can add an extension by soldering. Be sure to isolate solder points and keep the same pinout as on the original cable.
  18. Hi! Is it not possible to relocate the Commander PRO? There is a compatible 3-pin extension cable that is bundled with the Lighting Node PRO. One of Corsair Beta users is also making them, try to search for PirateDog Tech.
  19. Hi! The configurator is taking into account the length of the 3080 FE with an XG7 RGB FE (3080) installed which is 195mm. You'll have plenty of clearance after the upgrade.
  20. Hi, Great news! Your graphics card model is going to get a compatible Hydro X GPU water block model. You can verify compatibility with the CORSAIR GPU Search or plan your complete custom cooling loop with the CORSAIR Custom Cooling Configurator. As for the availability, I would suggest checking the https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/nvidia-ampere-architecture and using the notify me option on the Hydro X section.

  22. There is lots of space in the Asus Strix Helios. Even with Asus Strix 3080 OC, you will be able to occupy the front position with a radiator and XD5 mounted to the radiator.
  23. Hi! Afraid it's not possible to tell if you will be able to utilize the pump bracket from the ASUS Strix Helios case since there is no information about the cut-out hole pattern on the included pump bracket. According to the XD5 QSG on page 10, the cut-out hole pattern should be 55x55mm. Either way, you will be able to install the XD5 to the front radiator/fans. Everything needed for such installation is enclosed with the XD5 unit.
  24. Currently, can't confirm that it would be possible to fit the 3090 AE GPU water block to the EVGA XC3.
