I know of plenty of cases where the keyboard did not get perma bricked by a water spill.
I know of cases where people literally submerge their keyboards in soap/water solutions to clean them.
This shouldn't be an issue as long as it is properly dried out.
Water doesn't just randomly destroy PCB boards, contacts, mechanical keys etc.
The physics of the situation are pretty clear to me.
Ofc it is possible the keyboard shorted out, but I find that rather unlikely considering the way I spilled the water and how fast I reacted in unpluggin the keyboard. The water shouldn't have reached the contacts on the PCB before unplugging.
Still hoping for the best here.
I have not taken it apart yet so there is a chance the PCB is actually not 100% dry. I dried it out for 5 days (and counting) on a heater (moderate heat, nothing crazy), hoping that does the trick without getting down an dirty with my keyboard.
I really just need to get out of that boodloading loop I am stuck in right now, can't do that without a proper firmware.bin.
If a new firmware.bin doesn't do the trick, I'll have to take the keyboard apart and check everything manually.
