  1. iCue is no longer running for me as of today. If I try and manually run it, it crashes and reports the issue.
  2. Thanks for that. I thought I'd go with the simplest version before trying your more 'complete' version. - Uninstalled iCue V5 - Installed iCue V4 And it worked, even down to my default lighting profile immediately still working etc with no effort/work.
  3. On starting my PC today, iCue is crashing on every attempt - "iCue has unexpectedly encountered a crash", with the option to send a report to Corsair. I've tried repairing my installation. Rebooting. All with no improvement. Is there anywhere where I can look for logs? Any suggestions how I get iCue working again? (With my rgb Strafe mk2 keyboard) ps: I use a KVM and iCue is working with that keyboard on a second PC.
  4. So iCue works OK with the Strafe MK.2 and you can set the colour etc of the keyboard using that software from the PC(s)?
  5. That's really useful! I have the Strafe RGB Mk2, and I'm looking to get the Display Port version of that KVM. I want to simply plug the Keyboard (and my regular wired mouse) into the KVM and that's it. I'm happy to simply use the the button on the front of it to swap input etc. I was under the impression if I plugged my RGB keyboard and regular wired mouse into the two standard USB inputs on the KVM (not the dedicated keyboard and mouse ones), then all would work fine? If iCue doesn't work etc, then that's a no go for me! Have you tried the mouse and keyboard in the two regular USB input for behaviour? The one I'm looking at - https://www.amazon.co.uk/TESmart-Port-DisplayPort-Switch-60Hz/dp/B08JTYGJK3/ref=sr_1_21?dchild=1&keywords=tesmart+2x1+displayport&qid=1619793473&s=electronics&sr=1-21
  6. Restarted froom scratch. Created a whole new profile. Uploaded that and it works. My old ones no longer do... Grrr.... At least the default profile(s) are working again!
  7. Tried a complete reset of the keyboard via unplugging it and pressing ESC and replugging it back in. Three default lighting effects are then available. When I attempt to overright one of the onboard effects with a static colour one, I get back to only the top row being lit up, and all actual keys being unlit.
  8. As of today, when my PC is turned off (so no ICue running), my entire keyboard is unlit apart from the very top row of buttons/lights (for profile, brightess, numlock etc). None of the actualy keyboard keys are lit at all! If I press the profile button nothing changes, apart from that top row. I've re-applied the latest firmware to the keyboard. Cleared it. Ensured I'm on the latest ICUE. Reload lighting effect after light effect to the three onboard slots, but when I turn my PC off, my keyboard goes unlit (apart from the top row). What's caused this? Normally I just have a simple white layout across all the keys as a default. Why is this no longer working? ps: I've pressed the brightness button and can see the lights on the top of the keyboard changing brightness.
  9. Well, my Aten 1782A is working fine with the Corsair Strafe Mk2 keyboard. That said, I had to change its mode so it did not interpret keystrokes as that stopped the functionality of the keyboard working. So insterad of being able to double tap a keyboard combination to switch input, I now hwo to use the keys on the actual KVM to do so. Slightly annoying, but no biggy!
  10. I actually stuffed some cut up elasticband into the key to prevent some metal ringing.
  11. No this is simply the cherry switch. If I take the keys off the space bar and say the ALT, and then simply depress and release the switches, the space results in a metalic twang/ring sound when released. This does not happen on other switches (eg: ALT). I can even just gently tap it (not fully depressing it - just making light contact) and get the same sound. Do you know how I've had to solve it? I had to ram part of an elastic band into the back of the space bar where the cherry switch sits/fits. This obviously then keeps the switch constantly depressed a bit, preventing it from travelling over the top millimeter or two of its upper most limit. Hmmm...
  12. I noticed a metalic twanging/ringing sound when using the space bar. If I take the space bar off, and some other keys too (eg: "Alt"), if I depress the key sensor for the space bar and release it, I get the ringing sound from the space bar one, but not the other key. Obviously they all appear to be the same sensors, but the space bar one does look like it's mounted slightly differently? The sound is just about loud enough so while typing it's annoying... Anyone else able to comment if their space bar key sensor sounds different for example to their "Alt" one? note: Again, this is repeatable simply by just pressing and (quickly) releasing the sensor itself.
  13. In that case, my idea is actually:- PC-A: bright pink with flashing green accents PC-B: orange and yellow alternating quicky
  14. Thats very useful then! So I could just install the software on PC-B, set up standard default profile (red), and also one specifically for when connected to PC-B (blue)? If I use the KVM to switch to PC-A (which won't have the software enabled) it would use the standard default (red). Flick back to PC-B, back to blue... Sound about right? If so great! As I'd only need to setup the software on one PC (main main gaming PC).
  15. Thanks! So if you set up a (default) colour profile on your PC... I assume you turn your PC on, and while its booting up the keyboard is in some default colour scheme? Does your default colour profile finally then kick in before/after your user logon out of interest? What happens if you flick your KVM to the other PC and that PC isn't even on? Default colour scheme again? I've noticed another post elsewhere on this forum about someone with basically the same KVM as me having some issues that needed resolving... I'm hoping they'll answer and put my mind at rest it's all solvable without too much pain - http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showpost.php?p=864349&postcount=10
