  1. Thanks mate! I guess I'll have to get building from scratch then 😉 I just thought the v4 software gave the kit its stock profiles out of the box.
  2. Hi guys, After getting a system tray alert that the was a new version of iCUE out, I unsuccessfully tried to update it - it failed, so I ended up removing v4, completely with Revo... I had success installing v5 using the website executable and everything is working. Question though, where are all the default profiles? With v4 I just had the standard RGB, left to right, wave. I'd added a couple of key colour mods but that won't take me long to sort. The actual stock lighting profiles though 🤔 Any ideas?
  3. Thanks! Weird error on repair... I'm going to completely remove and reinstall.
  4. Hi guys, As above. Is there a Windows log somewhere that can inform me what it is exactly that's causing my rig to hang on startup? It's only been going on for a few weeks, but it's really noticeable - my setup has always been super-quick until now... After initial login, I get a few bits load up in the system tray but then something kick in that Windows obviously doesn't like. Can be a few minutes before things catch up, this is if I haven't forced a restart by then. After which things are usually fine btw. I'm pointing finger at my Corsair RGB keyboard at the moment - because it's still displaying its default profile before my custom one has kicked in. Thanks!
  5. Hi guys, As above. I've had my lovely new keyboard since early 2021 and it's been solid - one minor annoyance though is that it completely fails to load with Windows (10), probably about 1 time in 10... it is completely unresponsive, although still powered - the Num Lock light is lit as an indicator. This can be booting from cold but it's literally just happened to me with a software update prompted restart. A further 'mouse initiated' system restart provides an instant fix. Am I still under warranty if my board is faulty? Thanks.
  6. Hi both, I think I'm having the sort of same issue with my K70 - though my keyboard seems to 'disconnect' from iCUE anyway, after signing out of Windows. My system doesn't sleep. The keyboard still works, I'm typing on it now, but I get the below in iCUE... Doesn't happen to me all of the time, I'd say 4/5. 3.08 firmware and latest iCUE.
  7. Thanks! So far, it seems to have sorted... Chipset drivers were up to date, but a quick refresh hasn't hurt. Are there any wider implications to disabling Selective Suspend in the power settings?
  8. No one? I've gone down to just 1x USB (3.1 port) and I thought I'd cracked it but it's just happened after about 10 minutes of being left idle. I don't have any power saving Windows options set, although the monitor sleeps after 20 minutes. Uninstall/reinstall iCUE?
  9. Hi guys, I had this on my last i5 build and it seems to have followed me onto my Ryzen build... sometimes, not all the time, after some time away from desk - I think Windows locks me out after ten minutes, and I log back in iCUE appears to stop working with my K70 RGB keyboard. Nothing is detected in Settings. I think I have a mk1 K70, so no USB passthrough on the board itself although still 2x USB cables going into my mobo - a MSI x570 Tomahawk. I'm on firmware v3.08 and software version 3.36.125. Any ideas? Thanks.
  10. Hi there, Thanks for the reply! Yes, I re-applied past, single grain of rice method and I have definitely drooped a couple of degrees... the original application was all over the place when I removed the block and it wasn't even! I'm still messing about with fan profiles etc. so will report back once that is sorted. This is my first Ryzen setup and I don't think I realised how erratic the individual core temps were :sigh!: Thanks.
  11. Hi guys, I've had my new Ryzen build up and running for a couple of weeks now, settling down etc... I'm a bit concerned about my idle temps though. Under absolutely no pressure my cpu temps range from between 34-63c  I used Arctic Silver 5 but following advice on another forum I didn't use the 'grain of rice' in the middle of the chip method instead opting for the Ryzen method depicted below: Could it be my choice of paste application causing the erratic temps? Also, how tight do you go with the pump screws - I was worried about bending the AM4 bracket! Thanks.
