  1. I play CS:GO (still need to win 8 more matches) BF4 (102) GTA V (124) Ark Survival Evolved I play other games too, but these are what I'm playing most often. I'm trying to get more CS friends to que with!
  2. Hey all, updating this mod log today with some exciting news! User @TobyMoose emailed me earlier with permission to share his K65 base plate template file. For now, it is a .EPS file (opens in adobe illustrator). If you intend on laser cutting a base out, this is the file you're looking for :) The file is available publicly on the project dropbox folder. (sub folder is EPS) A big thanks to user @TobyMoose! :D
  3. wow, $5 a piece! You're not paying for any laser time huh ;) that looks very nice by the way
  4. That escape key looks great! If you do the alternative keycap sets, the corsair sails escape key should be optionally included in my opinion ;D
  5. Yes, if you make a k65 baseplate, I would be happy to add it to the project and credit you as a contributor! Let me know how your project goes, mate :D
  6. Not with CUE. I believe this feature is in idlekey, but I don't use it so I'm not sure D: But for sure - the feature is not in CUE.
  7. White double shot keycaps would look awesome in my opinion. I've refrained from purchasing a set because of the non standard bottom row. It would be awesome to choose between keycap sets when we buy the keyboard (or buy a keycap set with a keyboard without keycaps)
  8. Pm Corsair Henry with your email address and he can get it to you.
  9. Same experience as terabyte here, though the problem was quite a bit more rare on my end (happened 1-2 times per week) so the fact I've not seen any issues could just be luck, but I doubt it :P
  10. Sorry for the late response - Did you message Corsair Henry to try out the beta sw/fw for the Scimitar? The lift setting allows you to adjust how high from the surface the mouse should not report any movements. I have mine set to low because its the lowest setting the mouse can track with on my mouse pad. When I lift the mouse I get the smallest possible accidental movement this way.
  11. The stutter/laggy problems people are experiencing is a firmware issue, not a hardware issue and Corsair is testing a fix right now - as Corsair James said. To address your current problem, you could try adjusting your lift height distance in the Profiles > Performance & DPI tab. Also, have you tried using your mouse on another surface? There is a (slim) chance that the mouse doesn't like the surface you're using. Hopefully this fix is out soon. It is an expensive mouse, but I have to agree with you that it feels very nice. I like it much more than my M65 RGB (Which was my favorite mouse until this one came around!)
  12. Yes! It absolutely works - I've done it that way myself. I designed PDF files to use specifically for printing out and cutting by hand. They are available on my dropbox and are also linked in this forum. I recommend using an xacto knife and a straight edge to help guide the blade.
  13. You know, this is probably why I stopped seeing the bug recently. My scimitar is set to solid colors for the time being and I've not had a cursor lag all December - today. I'll go back to some animation effects and see if that's really the problem or if we are just getting very lucky :P
  14. Selling these is against forum rules, unfortunately. I would advise you to find some place with a printer that you could use. A paper version costs about an hour or two of time to cut by hand. The plastic ones I produced cost quite a bit in laser time and most people don't want to pay upwards of $30 for something they can build themselves in an hour or two.
  15. Small Update: German user HaselnuesseTo has provided me with edits making this mod now available for the German K70 layout! A big thanks to HaselnuesseTo for this contribution! :) German layout files will be uploaded both here and on my dropbox. Please let me know if there are any issues with the files. As always, make sure when you print these out you do NOT scale at all, or the layout file will be slightly messed up and will not fit your keyboard! 16. The dropbox and files posted here are exactly the same. I have more control over what is uploaded to the dropbox though, so you can't go wrong there. I have tried using a mirror finish and it had what I would call an interesting but undesirable effect. The LEDs did not diffuse and shown onto the sides of the neighboring keycaps. I've not tried a brushed aluminum version because the KXX keyboards have brushed aluminum plates already. I guess you could try with a different color of aluminum... If you want to do your own custom machining make sure you use a material no more than 1/16" thick or it will interfere with the keycaps.
  17. It would be awesome to have your help! When your k65 arrives could you PM me? In the meantime I'll figure out what measurements I need to make the template. Thank you for offering your help :)
  18. Sorry about the lack of an official k65 template. :( The only relevant difference between the k70 and k65 here is that the k65 is missing the numberpad. The consequence of this difference is that the k70 layout files work fine, but need the number pad trimmed off. I don't own a k65, so in order to make a unique k65 template, I would have to guess where the right edge of the K65 is... I'd rather not guess and get it wrong and waste people's time :/ Determining the left edge of the k70 was easy - the material underneath the added G keys on the k95 is plastic and not aluminum, so I measured to the edge of the aluminum. If there's a similar way I could find the right side of the k65 using my k95, I would be happy to make "Jkraghify official" k65 layout files :) Regarding your issues with the paper crumbling, you have a few options. Use thicker paper (make sure it's safe for your printer) Use a sharper blade (I used xacto knives initially) Make all the horizontal cuts and then do the vertical cuts (the keys are all aligned horizontally, so this should make the process faster, especially if you use a ruler or other straight edge to guide you. Just be careful to not cut yourself while holding the straight edge) If anyone else that has cut this out of paper could offer any other advice, please do! Keep in mind that you can use any color paper too!
  19. Have you reflashed the keyboard firmware? If you haven't, I'd suggest you try it. Open CUE Go into Settings Device Click on the "Update firmware" button Make sure the "Force update from the server" radio button is checked Click update If reflashing the firmware does not work, contact Corsair Technical Support and ask to be guided through a hard firmware reset. If the hard reset doesn't work, RMA the keyboard. These keyboards have a 2 year warranty and faulty LEDs are covered.
  20. I can replicate this on my computer. Funny, I've never noticed it until I read this post. If I find a fix, I'll let you guys know.
  21. Yeah that's what others have been reporting. The reason stated is the firmware isn't uploaded yet. :/ Seems like a no-brainer to me to upload the current firmware to the update server. I don't know why they haven't yet.
  22. Hmm i see a bit of the blue tint in the second... I'll look at this on my monitors when I get home tonight. I don't have a STAFE RGB so I'm not sure if you can force a firmware update.. Since it's all the LEDs, I think maybe your particular keyboard is not color calibrated correctly - though I have only my K95 RGBs as a reference point so it's not an "apples-apples" comparison. If you can force a firmware update, that's what I would do. I'm not sure there's a firmware file on the update server yet though.
  23. Normally RGB LEDs aren't the best at producing white, though I've found my RGB gear to produce "good enough" white. Any RGB LED on the market can have problems reproducing white (though I'm not sure how off your LEDs are without seeing a picture) Could you post a picture with a section of your keyboard with keys set to white, red, green, and blue? (One picture, with most keys being white, and a few being red, green, and blue)
  24. I could guess the dimensions. What about printing the K70 RGB version and cutting off the excess material? Quick fix. I'll get to making files for the K65 RGB this weekend (though I can't test fit it since I don't have a K65 RGB)
