  1. Thanks. So... is that Corsair's official reply?!
  2. [ame= ] [/ame] At around 1m20s in this video you can get a pretty good impression of how it sounds like. Except that it is coming from INSIDE the PSU, and at the connector/pins.
  3. Sorry, of course, yes: I have one usb keyboard and one usb mouse connected. These didn't even register (like the usb too before you asked about usb connections) because who doesn't have a keyboard and mouse connected? I understand that the pwm might change to a range withing an audible level, however assuming all or most PSUs would do that (which they don't since all my PSUs before haven't) why does it have to be to something that resembles so much a short circuit sound. The sound really does resemble like more power goes through the psu than it can handle and might blow something inside. The sound is not audible at all times the usb stick was connected - so I do not believe it might have caused it, but I will definitely keep an eye on that to eliminate all possibilities.
  4. Thanks for the fast reply. The buzzing happens during normal operation. Working, browsing etc There is one usb stick connected directly to the motherboard. I had the HX850i in the exact same setup and there's no electrical buzzing whatsoever.
  5. Since I'm only testing and don't have a complete build yet I only have the motherboard, two cpu cables and one pcie cable (for the gpu) connected.
  6. I was just delivered an AX1200i and am currently testing to see if it's any better than my HX850i. Right of the bat I noticed some random electrical buzz noise coming from it. It is short in duration, 2 to (maybe) 10 seconds long, and is random in occurrence, sometimes many times in succession, for a couple a minutes, many times an hour, and sometimes many hours apart and only once or twice per hour. It sounds like a bad wiring in an old power outlet, where some shorting might happend. Is this normal?!
