  1. Hi Couple of questions for you guys. I have just finished hard tubing my sons build and have a couple of issues. I had the 2 rgb hubs on the the com pro chn 1 and 2 ,they all lit up in their standard pattern as still in leak testing phase. I then daisy chained the corsair res female to the corsair gpu block male then the gpu female to the corsair cpu block then the res male into the LNP pro .,but only the res lit up . So i tried another way by connecting rgb hub 1 onto LNP pro chnl 1 and the 2nd rgb hub to chnl 2 but only the first fan lit up on both rgb hubs. Is this because i have to go into icue and select LNP pro and select how many fans each chnl hub has . Also is this the same for the hydrox res/gpu/cpu blocks.not all lightkng up together(only res ,but all work sepedatly) when plugged in while daisy chained in either compro led ports of the LNP pro I thought they would all light up like the rgb hubs to compro led ports 1 and 2.
  2. Hi guys, Just cleaning my sons Corsair Xg7 water block out and wanted to ask ,what are the thermal pad thickness for the the block and Evga's 2080 super black edition card please. Thank you in advance
  3. Thank you Zotty for your help in my post, also c-attack for great in-depth advice, you're a star. I have all the fans up and running on com pro number 2 (led ports 1&2 used ,21 LL fans) using RGB hub splitters as per diagram upped by Zotty. I put the rear case fan on the top rad number 4 port on the dual RGB hubs (3 fans on each). I did not use the passthrough cable yet from the io panel. Jesus it's a lot of Sata ports 12 so far on three cables (will probably scrounge around for another to make sure). I am at my last hurdle before cable management and would some advice on connecting the last 3 devices ie the Ek FLT 360 Res / Ek Quantum cpu block / Heatkiller 3090 gpu block all Argb with Corsair 4 pin adapters for the RGB hubs, The res has 21 Led's the gpu has i think 18 led's and the cpu block has 20. I do not have any Corsair ARGB adapters 3 pin to go into the LNP's but i have, 1 spare led port on the 1000D com pro (no 2) so could i put a Rgb hub on that and connect the res/gpu/cpu into ports 1-2-3. or see if g-major tech on eBay can do me 3 x 3pin corsair RGB adapters for the LNP's ? I still have the passthrough io cable and read on here i could hook up an Rgb hub to that, but not sure how to do that. I am nearly there, just need a little help on the last part guys
  4. Zotty, I will remove all LL fan RGB cables for the 21 fans and add 2 more hubs giving me 6 in total, i have 7 rgb hub splitters. Looking at your diagram above i will need 2 RGB hubs for the front 4 ports used on each, then 2 Rgb hubs for the rear of the front rad 3 ports used on each, for the top rad the same 2 Rgb hubs 3 ports used on each, would i put the rear 140mm fan on port 4 on either the 2 Rgb hubs for top rad ( the pic above shows 2 rear fans on the last 2 hubs). As i have 2 com pro's (one of them the 1000D ver with port 1 used for chassis lighting), would i be best to put the 6 Rgb hubs on the 2nd com pro's 2 led ports leaving 1 port remaining on the 1000D port 2. I have upped a pic of the passthrough cable and the inc extender cable no idea what to or how to connect the hubs to this? or if i need it. How would i connect the res/gp/cpu block with Corsair argb adapters to the remaining led port 2 on the 1000D com pro or 1 x LNP for 2 drvices and 1 to led port 2 on the 1000d com pro. The res has 21 led's the gpu has i think 18 led's and the cpu block has 20. Any thoughts on the above please. Advice app.
  5. Hi c-attack, Yes, i am still in the 24-pin jumper phase on my Corsair AX1200i I thought that the LNP'S would light up the RGB once the RGB hubs were connected to the led ports 1&2, the RGB hubs worked perfectly when connected to the com pros led ports i have 12 Sata connectors on the 4 leads so i placed a Hub/LNP/h/drive/pump and swapped other devices to the other connectors so the RGB hubs were spaced out. So were the usb leads from the LNP'S plugged in right in the commander pro's usb ports, i even tried them in the Aquacomputer hubby 7 Sata powered usb or m/board powered no difference. Will try unplugging hubs from the 2 LNP'S to see if it is shutting down one of its led ports. ( i have 2 spares but they do the same). What is your thoughts on the fan layout in either the 2nd pic or the one i did on the card showing splitters?
  6. c-attack thank you for your info, i should have described my setup properly. pics below will show what I've done. My son in law sent me a diagram with fan orders below and i applied them to the pic with the 4x RGB hubs 2x LN Pro's pros and 1 Com pro. The thing is, as i was wiring the RGB hubs up, i connected each hub to the com pros led ports directly before connecting them to the LN pro's and they all lit up perfectly even FH2 with the 3 fans (2 front at the top numbered FH2-1&2 plus the rear FH2-3) the other 3 ports on there are for the res/gpu/cpu argb with corsair adapters. This will fill all 4 rgb hubs. My rads at the front are 2 x 360 and 420 at the top. as you can see the top fans at the front are filling the space above the rads. I was going to clone the hubs into 2x2 with hub splitters because of the com pros remaining 3 led ports (1 used for front io) but my son in law said use LN Pro's as in the pic, i did that but 1 fan lights up at the top and 1 or 2 light up at the front so i don't know what's wrong when using the LNP's, is the diagram wrong below? I removed the LNP's and plugged each rgb hub back into the com pros led ports again and they lit up, I am scratching my head. So, c-attack, Now i have described my setup, are the fans numbered correctly according to my son in laws diagrams or would you make any changes to the order. Also what was wrong do you think with the 2 LNP's not allowing the rgbs to work, any ideas? I just want to be able to set the lights either static/custom/ or preset. The last picture on white card below i originally did with corsair rgb fan splitters using 3 hubs in order and they lit up fine but i think i had to many on the first 2 hubs (9 fans hub 1 then 10 on the 2nd hub plus fan 13 and 14 plus res/gpu/cpu on the 3rd) but the rgb flowed perfectly as on the white card diagram. So i do not know which way to go now.
  7. Thank you for the advice LeDoyen. I loved the Aquasuite software and hardware but not being able to control the corsair ram and Asus m/board within was anoying. Was going to run both, ie ram and board on icue and fans/3rd party argb on Aquasuite but other than static colours, nothing else like effects would sync. How did you get round the ram and mboard issue rgb wise?. Will keep the fan pwm/pump control/next flow sensor on the octo, the farbwerk 360s and splitty 4s i will put away for now, unless i have issues setting corsair hardware up. Did have 12 LL fans with splitters into 1 rgb hub, they did light up but i think that was too much so im going with this setup.what do u think?
  8. Hi. I know i have asked for similar help before but i am still struggling with the hardware Connection for my fans. I have 2 x com pros (1x 1000d ver) 5 x rgb hubs 3 x lighting node pro's 11 x rgb fan splitters (bought too many) 6 x rgb hub splitters To run 21 corsair LL fans (8 front / 6 rear front /6 top rad and 1 rear) plus a res/gpu/cpu all corsair argb to corsair adapters. How do i go about this please ,i have spent hours going over the the guides on here but need a simple explanation on how to connect this up with what i have or need extra to run as i do not have 32 fans. Can any one help please.
  9. LeDoyen thank you for that. So, i would use 4 x lighting node cores, that would give me 24 rgb ports. How would that connect in the fan layout order above to the corsair 1000d com pro plus the 2nd com pro for the 21 fans (with rgb splitters or not) and the ek cpu block / heatkiller gpu block and the Ek 360 res (the last 3 have corsair adapters) not forgetting the io and sail input, also the extra spare passthrough cable. Or would you set the fan order different to my layout above . I would be grateful if you have time, in a quick layout design if you were putting the above together. I loved the Aquasuite, simple hardware and rgb software but could not control the corsair ram or m/board which was a pain. I want to get the rgb hardware setup done with icue properly this time and in sync so would app any help please. Would it be better to purchase 2-3 core xt's for their new features
  10. Hi Was wondering how many rgb connections can the core xt or the 2 com pros i have do on each rgb port. I have 21 LL fans and 11 major g tech rgb fan splitters. For them plus res/cpu/gpu corsair rgb adapter s as well. I was using Aquasuite but the corsair ram and m.board rgb cant be controlled in there. So all 21 fans pwm are controlled by Aquasuite on the octo along with Next flow sensor and pump.(2 x farbwerk 360s will have to be sold). And was planing on going back to icue for the rgb on my 1000d build Want to minimise clutter. Any ideas or info on the core xt or com pro rgb capacity per port would be app.
  11. Hi guys. Just about finished my revamp of my Corsair 1000D build with just about evetything conected to Aquacomputer Splitty4s (21 Corsair LL fans) - Farbwerk 360 x 2 and an Octo. With 2 Rgbpx ports left on the 2nd Farbwerk 360 and 2 on the octo, what advice would you guys give in respect of connecting my EK 360 FLT res/cpu block/flow indicator and Trinity gpu block to these 4 ports either all together on a 4-way 5v 3 pin splitter (way under 90 leds capacity) or 2 each on 2-way Argb splitters, I also have the corsair rgb cable from the front io panel on the 1000D to connect. It's a shame to plug them in singular as the flow ind has 2 leds and the cpu block 17 leds plus res has 21 and trinity gpu has 12. Full rgb control is what im after, or would i have to get an active Argb splitter from amazon. Advice app.
  12. LeDoyen I have an Octo arriving tomorrow (no Quadro in stock) so will have both. I know it does not matter about the pwm order on the fans to either Aquaero 6 pro or the Octo as its just power as i am probably going to split 4 pwm connectors on the ll fans on 4 way splitters then into the octo or Aquaero ch 1,2,3 and soi on, but i have started the tubing at the front after labeling the fans previously Rear fan 1 Top 420mm left to right 2,3,4 top then 5,6,7 underneath The front pair of 360mm rads plus 2 at the top 8-21 For the rgb part do i have to redo all the fans from what i have done in the pics differently, or will they all sync
  13. Cheers for the info, on nights will give this a good read when i can. Thank you again for the help, much app.
  14. Sorry buddy, All i really want to know is, after all the corsair ll fans have been connected to splitty4s have been daisy chained together with the rgbx mini cables out/in , how do they and the ek rgb bits go to the farbwerk 360s /Aquaero 6 pro lite, any info please.
  15. Sorry to bother you but i need a little help please guys, Aquacomputer and Overclockers uk not helping or answering. I purchased the 6 x Splitty 4's and 2 x Farbwerk 360's also a Hubby 7 usb, also i got hold of an almost new Aquaero 6 pro with red heat sink. I have fitted all these items in the back of my Corsair 1000D to power/control 21 Corsair LL fans (16 led's per fan) case shown in the inc pics i have sent you above, but i have come to the connection stage and its not as easy as it was with my previous non rgb fan build on the Aquaero 5 controller (5 fans on 1 splitter repeated to all the pwm headers) I am a little lost here and wonder if you can help in the connection of the items what goes where and into what item. Also, do i have enough Parts ie Hubby 7/Farbwerk 360/Splitty 4's to do the job, or will i need more. I also have EK Quantum FLT 360 res ( 3 pin D-RGB connector) 21 led's EK Quantum Velocity cpu block (D-RGB connector) 17 led's EK Quantum Vector Trinity RTX 3090 Gpu block (D-RGB connector) 12 led's EK Quantum flow indicator DRG-B ( 2 led's) All standard 3 pin D-RGB connection. And i have a couple of EK loop DRG-B dual/triple splitter cables. Finally, as i am no longer using Corsair Icue/hardware, my Corsair 1000D case has a proprietary Corsair 3pin front panel/power lead coming from the front of the case and connected to the commander pro, for the io plus sail logo, how or where do i connect this to the above Aquacomputer parts (inc pic). Help Greatly app. Regards Michael
  16. C-attack, will try over the weekend as i am on nights rest of the week. LeDoyen, thank you for help, it is probably white dot particles, not happy at all, may have to flush or strip the res and cpu block down and clean, seems a lot of work when it has only been up and running a month.
  17. LeDoyen thank you for your input, its been about 4 weeks now and the bubbles/residue still has not dissipated. Closer pic below, seem to have the same tiny white spots in the Ek Quantum Velocity cpu block as the EK Quantum res as well. The Corsair XG7 gpu block and the tubing are clear. If it were a round res then i would simply take the top off and use a small paint brush to remove the bubbles/residue from the res. coolant temp sits about 26c idle and 32c playing call of duty warzone fans on about 980rpm Do you recommend a good solid p/supply in the 1200w and above.
  18. Well it took its sweet time but my build is done (PETG TUBING A PAIN). Had loads of issues with the 14mm xspc tubing and their fittings, went through dozens of o rings as the tolerance's were poor. Mystic fog im not too sure, it has left tiny bubbles on the inside of the res and i can not get them out or put something in the fill port on the ek res to try and wipe the inside front (any ideas) might just flush and use cryofuel clear. Anyway the issue i seem to have is that at least 1-2 times a day the fans seem to loose there rgb colour, sometimes 1 or 2 fans or today the entire top rad fans both sides were flickering wildly. Contacted Corsair and they seem to think its down to the 5v rail or rail in my AX1200i supply (6y old) trying to power all the rgb 21 LL fans EK res Ek cpu block Corsair ram Corsair xg7 gpu block Plus the 2 x 10 pwm hubs 4 X Corsair rgb hubs 2 x com pros Corsair 1000D chassis lights Everything uses the sata connection ( i tried to spread them out on the p/supply ) Any ideas ? The other issue is that if i run a game or say Valley benchmark then i get noise from the rear where my power supply is (AX1200i) coil whine/noise that goes when i exit the game or benchmark. This has never happened in the 6 years of owning the ax1200i. Plus it is all new gear Amd 5900x rig. Corsair says i need their 5v balancer as it lets me use a 12v rail to spread the current but it is not out yet anywhere i have tried to locate one in the Uk but no joy, probably covid slowing down production for release. Do you guys think its a power supply issue/fault or do i need the balancer or new power supply with stronger 5v rails any suggestions please. Other than that i think it went together really well, will probably change a couple of pieces of tubing another way when i change to acrylic in 6-9 months or so. Any help on the issues above would be helpful.
  19. Hi The Corsair 1000D build is finally done (pics to follow plus breakdown) but could do with some advice please. I have everything up and running and icue installed, but could not see the 1000d com pro or the second com pro showing, so i had to open the back and unplugged the usb cables from the the pro's to the usb 4 way board then re-seated them and viola they appeared in icue (very strange). So the question i ask is that everything is plugged into the 1000d main com pro that came with the case pre-installed ,i put the ek 360 flt res/pump 4 pin cable into port 6 on the com pro to adjust its speed, i plugged the Ek led and the Ek res led into corsair led adapters and plugged them into led 1 and 2 on the main 1000D com pro(they light up fine). Then i plugged the corsair xg7 gpu block led into the other com pro on led 1. Every piece of hardware is lit and running. Questions are.. Is the pump/res plugged into port 6 on the 1000d com pro right ? And does it matter that i put the xg7 gpu led cable into the other com pro led port 1 along with a lighting node pro with the rear exhaust fan led on it into usb port on the 2nd com pro (no room on the other one) Or do i have to plug the usb from the light node pro into the 4 way usb extender that goes to the m/board header, same as the main com pros so it shows up as a separate item in icue. Any help would be app.
  20. Thank you LeDoyen for your valuable info. Could i plug the res and cpu block using the 2 x standard rgb to corsair led conversion cable in the pic and plug them into led 1 and 2 on the com pro. Then plug the corsair xg7 gpu led cable to the 2nd com pro led channel 2
  21. Hi guys, I have nearly finished my 1000D build and i am in the final stages. Could anybody offer any advice on conecting the Ek Quantum Flt 360 rgb res and Ek Velocity rgb cpu block to the comander pro. I have the standard 3 pin rgb conection on the 2 mentioned above and 3 pin rgb to corsair 2 pin leads x 2. Could i conect the 2 parts with a 2 way splitter then into the corsair conversion cable in the pic below to the led port 2 on the com pro or will it be to many leds power wise. I have a second com pro plugged in so could put them into led 1 and led 2 seperatly with the same cables. Also could i ask ....which fan port on the 1000d com pro ver should the Ek pump 4 pin cable go into please.
  22. Hi Would app some advice please regarding fan and rgb order. At the front i was going to start at with the 4 fans on the right downwards 1234 from the top ,then on the left front side again from the top 1234 then split the 2 rgb hubs into 1 signal with the major-g tech splitters . Then at the front rear fans on the right from the top 123 and the left 123 from the top, then again into splitter for 1 signal. That would be 4 rgb. hubs but 2 signals , am i correct or do you have to connect them differently. I have plenty of hubs. For the top i was going to start from the top left 123 then bottom left 456 into 1 rgb hub , then all into pwm hubs I do have a spare com pro to use for the ek rgb cpu block and corsair xg7 2080 super block plus the Ek quantum flt 360 res. Also what would be the best idea for the rear …1 x 140 or 2 x 120’s . Any simpler layout advice would be greatly app. Thank you.
  23. Hi guys. If any 1000D owners read this post, have you too be misled in Corsair's error on rear fan exhaust sizes and quantity with 140mm., I bought 2 for the rear exhaust but like many others it will not fit the acclaimed 2 x 140mm fans. So what do i do.....install 1 x 140mm in the top or bottom and have lots of spare grille showing from the rear slots or do i install 2 x 120mm LL'S ... What have other users used.. would have looked spot on with 2 x 140 fans flowing into the top 420 rad 6x 140's I do not want to sand fans down.
  24. Hi guys. Just a quick one, I have bought some rgb hub splitters to clone the front rad stacks ,but need a push in the right direction. Do i clone the front side rads 4 and a 4 on 2 x rgb hubs then split using splitter into 1 signal then the rear of the front rad x 6 in one hub on its own Or is there a better way. I have 3 splitters from g major tech on ebay . Any help guys would be app
  25. Hi. Finally got the rads sorted after 2 weeks of returns because of Alphacool's crap quality control , 2 x 360mm xt45's for the front = 12 LL 120mm fans plus 2 single ones just above, also 6 x LL140's at the top for the 420mm xt45. I have some sticky dots like i have seen some members use for numbering but still need a little help guys. The pic below shows my 1000D front fan tray stacks, how would i number them in sequence to run correctly please with the corsair 6 port rgb hubs and icue software, i am not bothered by individual control, just how many into what..etc. Also the top as well. I have 2 x commander pro's (inc the 1000d one) plus 6 x corsair rgb hubs and 5 lighting hubs(came in the fan packs) and 3 x 10 port pwm hubs(artic). Ek quantum kinetic flt360 flat res and Ek velocity rgb amd cpu block plus corsair hydro xg7 2080 super gpu block rgb. I have all my pwm and rgb extender cables made. The tray needs to go on top and flipped over for correct location (pain in the ass wiring these) Any help would be app guys or a quick diagram.
