Hi Thanks for that. Yeah that is the PSU i'm using, hence why i linked it. For some reason the bottom half of my post got cut off. I did include that I have been to that compatibility matrix but i really couldn't make heads or tails of it. The matrix is a little difficult to understand and thats probably why you are seeing a lot of posts asking about which cables to use with which PSU's.

So i'm trying to understand what sata power cable i need for my HX1000i https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/hxi-series-config/p/CP-9020074-NA#tab-overview Looking at the PSU cable compatibility matrix didnt really help me understand what i need. Can any one advise me which sata power cables i need for this PSU?
