0009.05 Top XR7 360mm

The XR7 in the top is a slightly different story. It does fit - but you won't be able to configure it as push/pull. Well - you could but you'd have to overcome some challenges.

First, while the fans won't interfere with the system RAM, they don't fully clear the VRM heatsinks - they rest right on them on both motherboards shown here. A motherboard with a larger VRM heatsink would be an issue.

Second - and more problematic - is that it doesn't provide enough clearance on the CPU 12V power connection to feasibly put the power connector in there. If it's possible, you'd need to make sure to route the power before putting the radiator in place. And then you'd likely mangle the wire. The bottom image shows a close up of the two EPS 12V connectors on the motherboard - and one of them is almost fully covered. There is just about a centimeter or less of clearance.

If you do go with the XR7 and a single layer of fans, you'd potentially have room for an XR7 480mm with a single layer of fans or an XR5 360mm with push/pull.

The XR5 360mm doesn't have this issue at all. You can fit the XR5 in push/pull configuration quite easily and with space to spare - it's the same width as the XR5 420mm in the previous entry.
