0003.3 - EATX Motherboard

There's no standard for EATX except that it's "bigger than ATX". So I'm using an X399 board as an example here.

The cable cover has to come off for this to work. While it doesn't fully cover the motherboard, there just isn't enough clearance for the cables to go, even with a 90 degree angled connector. Unless, that is, your motherboard has the ATX power connector built-in at a 90 degree angle. While I'm not aware of such a beast, it may exist out there.

This image is somewhat helpful, but it does leave questions about how much room there is.  I have been looking and cannot seem to find anywhere that tells me about the width from the back of the case to those grommets.

I am seriously thinking of using this case for a new build with an E-ATX board, but as you mention there is no true specification for E-ATX, so I really could use a measurement.  (Fortunately some of the boards I am thinking of using have the 90 degree angled power connectors built onto the board)

The board used here is a Gigabyte Aorus X399 Extreme, measuring in at 30.5cm x 27.7cm.
