knives88 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 The new H105 cooler fit on the carbide 500r? I'm afraid that the radiator is too high
G50EED Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 No, it won't fit. It certainly won't fit on top of the case (of this I am certain); I doubt it would fit inside but you could try it and see (expensive experiment).
lexis Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The radiator of the H105 is 11mm thicker than the H100i's (38mm against 27mm) so no, it won't fit on the top. However depending on your motherboard you can mount it in a pull configuration with the fans on top exhausting the warm air outside the case. You need to measure the space. I was planning on buying a H100i but since my motherboard allows it and I don't really need the Link features (and all the bugs that come with lol) I think I will rather buy the H105 to fit in my 500R in a pull exhaust setup.
Wingless Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I just installed the H105 in my 500R case. Fans in the top "tray" and rad inside underneath. Fits fine, but could depend on your motherboard. The included fans make a lot of noise though.

Wingless Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 As exhaust first, but tried switching them around due to the very noisy fans. Waiting on response from Corsair on a ticket on that. The temp stayed about the same on exhaust/intake.
