Tex_GG
Hello, I buyed in November 2012 a Corsair Vengeance 2000 and it is the best headphone I got for now. For a few month I had problems when charging my headset : when pluging the cable it wasn't always charging (no orange led, no detection sound, ...) but I just had to toy the usb a bit and it worked. But it gone worse and worse until a few days ago and now I need to push the usb cable continuously or it won't charge. So now what can I do ? I there maybe a solution, or do I need to send it back for reparation/exchange ?
zaxxor
I have the exact problem. I bought mine 7-14-2012 and have loved them. I have keep them charged and on a small desk right by my computer, so they are in excellent condition. Charging problem is just like the OP. The charging cord had to be moved more and more until finally I can not get any charge ( amber light ) to work at all. oMy question is will Corsair repair them if I send them in? I am willing to pay to get the connection fixed. I am sure that the charging connection has come lose inside the headset.
Toasted
Request an RMA to replace the headset. The V2000 has a two year warranty.
Tex_GG
Now it's been a week since I posted my RMA but no response from Corsair, even if it clearly say that "A Customer Service representative will respond within 1 business day" ... Tex_GG
My new headset is working fine and charging ! but there is a problem that I had not on my previous one : when charging and with the mic on, there is a buzzing that I can hear and that my friend can hear. when the mic is off on when it's not charging, there is no noise. I have read the forum and conclude to the same grounding problem since touching my computer case stop the noise. But I'm questionning about the fact that my old headset never give me such a problem, and that this problem is 1 year old looking at the posts, so why there wasn't any problem before and now there is, and why haven't you looked to the problem ? So now I'm looking how to get rid of that, so i'm happy to get any idea.
Toasted
Try a different USB port and charging cable (microUSB) and see if it helps.
Tex_GG
Already did that : different cables on others computers, tv, box, ... and also phone charger, but the buzzing noise is always there when I put down my mic. I like I said never got this problem on the previous one so it would mean that it's not from the configuration but more on the headset and what they change since the "version" I had.
