josh125
Hi my LG SuperMultiDrive H20L won't fit in the top or bottom bay of my new 350D as it hits off the motherboard if it goes all the way in and the tool-less metal clips end up scratching the drive :( Is there any way to fit this drive into the case as the drive bays seem far too short. Is an external enclosure my only option? Thanks...
deees
Is an external enclosure my only option? Thanks... You make it sound like a bad thing? Why mare the esthetics of the case with a drive you might not use every day, (or even every month.) Grab an external enclosure like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827993013 I mounted mine under my desk with some brackets I made from aluminum angle. I just reach over and turn it on in the rare occasions that I need it. http://imageshack.us/a/img12/2229/uidy.th.jpg Or, if you're lazy, just cover the top with adhesive backed Velcro and slap it in place. josh125
I would rather have the drive mounted internally as I personally think it looks neater and I actually use the drive frequently. Of course that may not be an option. I went with this case as it seemed perfect for my needs and is advertised to support 5.25 inch drives, yet mine does not fit. Don't get me wrong I love the case just kinda disappointing is all. thanks...
peanutz94
The easiest way to go about it is to just remove the quick latch al together and then you can mount the drive normally and secure it with a couple of screws. I ran in to the same issue with my 650D.
josh125
Tried it, the drive just hits the mobo before going all the way in. The drive bays are just not long enough...Thanks anyway.
