bouj
I bought an AX860 from a seller on eBay and it came without any cables, accessories, or original packaging. When I got the unit in my system it was dead so I assumed DOA. The seller doesn't want me to return the unit so I'm left with a very fancy paperweight unless I do something with it. I've gotten mixed answers on whether or not Corsair will replace the unit if I send it back to them. Essentially I want to know if Corsair will replace the unit for me if I send it back to them under warranty or something. If not what are some other options regarding what I can do with the unit because right now its just taking up space. Thanks for any help!
JKeifer
Taken from Corsair's warranty statement on their webpage via a Google search: "Corsair provides a non-transferable warranty to the purchaser of Corsair hardware product purchased from an authorized Corsair reseller. Corsair warrants that the product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a specified period commencing on the date of purchase. The warranty period will vary by specific product, as identified in your user documentation, on the product package, or as listed in the attached listing of Corsair Warranty Periods. In the event any of these warranty periods differ, the longest specified warranty period will apply. Except where prohibited by applicable local law, this warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights that vary under local laws." That being said, I am not sure how Corsair would respond. I would, however, do my best to hold the eBay seller accountable and start a claim with eBay for a defective product and with Paypal if that's how you paid for it. peanutz94
Sorry, No they will not replace a second hand or used units. Warranty is valid to the original purchaser only. You'll need to raise a complaint with Ebay.
