Caulnian
I have the H100i on my i7 4770k, and temps are great. However the pump seems to be making a weird noise when the fans are plugged in. If I plug the fans in the motherboard, the noise goes away, but my motherboard only have 1 fan connector, I and use that for a case fan. I have tried the 1.0.5 and the 1.0.7 firmware listed as stickies here. Does anyone have a solution or suggestions to my problem?
peanutz94
How old is the cooler? and are your fans 3 or 4 pin fans?
Caulnian
The cooler is around 6 months old and the fans are 3-pin fans connected to the pump with the included fan splitter.
peanutz94
Use the link on the left to request an RMA for the cooler. Let them know you have a unit that came with the 3 pin fans and you would like to get the 4pin PWM fans for it. They will send them to you and that should address the noise with the fans. Caulnian
Thanks Ive done that now. But I just got an "Your RMA has been approved"-email with instructions on how to ship my cooler and no more. Did I do something wrong? I really dont want to ship my cooler back and forth if this can be solved by them sending the correct fans :)
peanutz94
It's all good, it's just an automated mail. You can ignore it. They will just ship you the fans.
Caulnian
Okay how long do you reckon it takes? And your sure Im not supposed to get a confirmation? :)
peanutz94
RMA requests may take a bit longer because of the Holidays, but generally you can figure 7-10 business days total time.. But yes, you should get a tracking number once the request is processed and the items shipped. No need to return the cooler or fans at this time.
