CDReckless
So, I was going to RMA these until i started to do a little hands on troubleshooting. What I found troubled me and I'd thought I ask the community here to see if they have ever seen this (I didn't see a post on this but may have missed it). I noticed tonight that a few of my case fans in my system were no longer spinning. Four to be exact. Not to bore everyone with the troubleshooting steps that I took (they were the garden variety TS steps that any good tech would do), but this was the end result. Out of all three cooling nodes that I have, all three have suddenly stopped powering fans that are plugged into the #1 and #5 plug in each node. #2, #3, and #4 all still power their respective fans. Based on that consistency, I'd really have to say that's highly unlikely a hardware failure. Too specific, too sudden and all the same. I did update my firmware AFTER this was discovered (thinking that maybe that would fix it; it did not). Anybody have any idea why nodes suddenly went from five working plugs to three (and all three lost the exact same plugs)? If not, I'll contact Support, but I'd like to hear from people hear as I know that the response time from support tickets is bit . . . sketchy. AlC0
Hi there! I had a similar issue with a sensor. If you are interested, here is my story: I installed everything and updated firmware etc. I have 1 temp sensor for my custom loop water cooling. No matter what connector I connected the sensor to, it would always give the value 0 degrees after reboot. Before reboot it would work perfectly, and if I changed the connector (from 1 -2 or 3) it would work as it should yet again. I asked away in here, and I got the answer. It was a software bug in the newest version (this was a few months ago). When I installed an earlier version of the link software, it started to work perfectly! My guess is, that if you delete all profiles, and reinstall and test with enough different versions, the problem is likely to go away, or be replaced by some other issue. This software is still buggy, but it has actually gotten a lot better then when it first was released. back in February, it was so much of a hassle that I gave up on it, took it down from the shelf twice after that before I started to get happy with it. Corsair customer support is good :) You just need to use their strongest channels. Their response to tickets are slow, but their live chat has been helping me out at least 5 times, all of witch with a good result. Fast response too. Raging_Dork
I had the problem where my fan would stop and I would reflash the firmware on the cooling node to get it started again. The fan that kept "dying" was in the first slot/plug.
CDReckless
Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't even considered the LIVE help. I'll give that a shot. I kind of wondered if it was the software that just went buggy. I got some Windows regular updates and I wonder if that is what may have caused it to freak out. And another good idea on flashing the firmware on the node itself. I'll do some searching to find out how to do that and see if that works

Raging_Dork
If you're on the win 8.1 link beta you won't be able to flash the node manually.
