treloar
Looking around the Corsair website and forum, If one of your water-cooling products leaks and ruins a person' system you will supposedly pay the cost of one' hardware less 10% for each year old the hardware is. So if a person has a system 3 years old, they get 70% of it's original worth of the hardware. Is this correct/true? And if true how long is this guarantee good for, only for the 5 year warranty of the water-cooling device?
Administrators Technobeard Posted December 27, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2013 If it's in warranty and leaks and damages the system we'll have it shipped to us for analysis. After that, it all depends on what the analysis shows. If a cooler's out of warranty, it's out of warranty.
Synthohol
not to add insult to injury but as a reminder, the warranty does not cover any damage to other components in the terms of the warranty however Corsair being a stand-up company will treat each case on its own merits and has satisfied its customers in the past. i only wanted to point this out as it is not the "rule" to cover damaged boards/cards, they just do their best to keep us satisfied. Newt182
People wouldn't buy their coolers if they didn't replace parts that were damaged from one of their defective coolers. They must have added their cost of replacing parts from defective coolers onto the retail price, they are a business and aren't stupid.
