EJSEJS
Hello... This is the first time I build my own PC with hydro cooling, so I hope someone can give me advice This is my hardware setup: Case: Corsair Air 540 CPU: Intel 3770k Cooler: Corsair H110 pump (3pin) MOBO: Asus Maximus V Formula RAM: CorsairDDR3-1600 Kit 4x4GB HD: 1X Samsung 240gb SSD HD: 2X Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000, 3TB Video: Asus MATRIX-R9280X-3GD5 PSU: Corsair GS800 140mm fan: 5X Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition (3pin) 120mm fan: 3X Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225C12B5AP-15 (3 pin) This is my fan case setup: http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/8751/ucw5.jpg Name: Corsair 540 case fan.jpg Views: 0 Size: 190.8 KB ID: 31542 which connection for the 3pin H110 pump: CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT ? which connection for the 3X Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225C12B5AP-15 fan's: CPU_FAN or CHA_FAN ? Which connection for the 2X Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition (on the H110 rad): CPU_FAN or CHA_FAN ? Which connection for the 3x Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition (case fan's): CHA_FAN or CHA_OPT ? I hope someone can give me advice Sorry for my bad english, I do this via google translate...
Braxos
I would suggest h110 on top as exhaust with push-pull and the front and rear fans as intake to have, don't forget the GPU will draw some air out. And to be better it is not recommended to use different fans on push pull configs as you will end up with a positive or negative pressure on the rad fins so the rad will underperforming. Because you will push x air through and pull z out where normally x=z but if x>z then the fan pushing air will after some time underperforming do to high pressure on rad so it will struggle to keep up pushing same amount and if z>x then the fan pulling will trying to pull air from a negative pressure rad interior. So I don't see on manual of the h110 a fan connector as it was on old h80 or h100 so I guess mb connector will do the job for that refer to the mb manual. EJSEJS
Thanks for your advice I would suggest h110 on top as exhaust with push-pull and the front and rear fans as intake to have Unfortunately this is not possible, push and pull does not fit with a 280mm rad, it is too narrow between case and MB on the top. The only place for a 280mm rad with push/pull is in front, like i have it now. don't forget the GPU will draw some air out. I know what you meant, But now you know that push / pull is not possible in the top, how do you it than ? So I don't see on manual of the h110 a fan connector as it was on old h80 or h100 so I guess mb connector will do the job for that refer to the mb manual. Okay I will look that
Braxos
It should be possible on top for push pull config. If not think if you wouldn't mind to have the pull fans out of the case on top of it ;) As I would keep the 4 af14 on the rad and 1 on the back and the 3 scythe on the other side. So it leaves to 4 af14 with rad on top as exhaust or on front as intake you could try front as exhaust but think hot air go up, meaning the sideways of the rad will produce heat inside the case. So try the rad with fans on top if it fits even with small gaps as the 540air has huge space. Good luck with it and happy holidays
EJSEJS
Thanks for your advice I think I'm going to do it so: http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2566/l3m7.jpg Not be optimal in terms of warm air from the GPU, but I can live with that. You to happy holidays...
Braxos
Once more Before assembling it Try the top with the push pull rad config it should have the space needed to make possible for h100i on push pull config.
EJSEJS
The H100i fits into the top of the case, which is narrower (240X120mm) and goes over the motherboard with push / pull configuration. But I have the H110 which is wider (280X140mm) and comes at the motherboard with push / pull configuration.
