H100i fan speed

So I was finally able to get my new PC up and running with my first liquid cooler, the h100i and I was just wondering how do I control the fan speed, it sounds like a jet is taking off in the room where my PC is.

I've heard about Corsair Link and there's a slot on my PSU for it but I can't find any definite guide of what parts is required to connect them all to the program. I downloaded it and it shows up my GPU/CPU % and temp but nothing of the h100i.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The H100i comes with the Corsair Link software, to allow you to control the fan speeds. The connectors for the fans need to be connected to the included Y connector and into the plug on the side of the pump.

In fact if hooked up that way, it will use a default profile even before installing/using the Link software.

I just did a new system build and mine is hooked up and running that was , so far without the Link software. When I first turn the machine on, the fans spin up loudly, then they spin down slower and are very quiet when it is running.

Be aware, if you are running Windows 8.1, the Link software is not working properly in it yet, but they are working on that and have released a beta of the software for testing purposes for those that want to give it a try.

I am running Windows 8.1 and that is only reason I have not installed the Link software yet, waiting for them to get it ironed out. But mine is running quietly for me and keeping my 4820K cool enough.

Thanks for the reply, I just looked through my h100i box and I didn't have any c link cables in there, nor any in any other of my boxes of new parts for my PC. What can I do? Since it was supposed to come with it should I contact corsair?

Yeah all the cables you would need should have been in the box with the new H100i, they should be there.

1: The power cable for the fans

2: The usb cable for the Link software

Your quickstart guide should show both of these along with how to hook them up. The fan power has a y connector, one end is a dummy fan plug that plugs into the cpu fan header on the mb, so it think there is a cpu fan installed.

The usb cable plugs into the usb slot on the side of the pump, for monitoring with the Link software.

That's just it, there is no Y connector in the box. I watched Linus' unboxing video of the h100i and that's the only piece I'm missing. I have the regular cable that is permanently mounted on the side of the block but nothing to plug into the connectors.
