Second AX750 Fails. Worst Power Supply Ever.

Now it's the second time my AX750 power supply has croaked. First time it was emitting a stupefyingly ignominious buzzing noise. Now the replacement often fails to turn on, if at all. It is, for all intents and purposes, an expensive paperweight.

It is by far the worst power supply I have ever used, and perhaps one of the most frustrating purchases I've ever made. Worse even than those crummy $15 power supplies. At least those are disposable. Mine is somewhat less so considering it cost me no less than the princely sum of $250.

The buzzing problem cropped-up only 2 weeks after purchase. That's right - 2 weeks. I can't believe Corsair, a supposedly reputable company (at least in RAM; can't vouch for their other products, especially power supplies) would even approve of such junk to even pass as a marketable product, let alone charge $250 for it. What a joke. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the joke is squarely on me.

I have had it up to my neck with this thing, and considering that it was pulled from the shelves after only 2 years, presumably so have Corsair. I'm now bracing myself for the second round of bureaucratic RMA back-and-forth. No doubt it'll be a costly exercise on how not to conduct customer service.

since this is your 2nd bad unit i believe you would get free shipping both ways.

i understand how you feel and sympathize with you but these PSU'S are of good quality and is quite unfortunate to get 2 of these.since these are EOL models, you would receive the next up model...

paultan, I'm really sorry to hear this. I would go ahead and request another RMA making sure to include your previous RMa number if you have it. Let them know this is the second PSU that gone bad and you would like a pre-paid shipping label. They will cover shipping costs both ways.

Also please post your RMA numbers here in this thread too
