mans51
so every time I start the flashplayer on my laptop with the headphones on, the sound manager keeps crashing. if I fiddle with the playback devices I can get it to work temporarily, but hardly a fix of it all. Toasted
An example would be Youtube videos? and by sound manager you mean the Corsair software? If yes, Have you tried updating flash? Have you tried a different browser e.g. Chrome?
mans51
So, yeah, I guess I didn't think of chrome having that intergrated flashplayer. Mostly when being on youtube or grooveshark.
Toasted
I'm not sure what your issue is. Can you please describe the problems you are currently experiencing? For example; Are you experiencing sound issues e.g. crackling, buzzing, etc noise when you are playing flash related content like Youtube and Grooveshark? Toasted
Try the headset on another computer and see if they work fine.
mans51
Yeah it works fine on my stationary computer. It started working without problem a day or two, got me fooled. now I can't trick my way out with media player or VLC, they just wont start. Skype and steam, windows sounds work though. I really have no idea what's going on. I've tried to update flash, to no avail.
Toasted
Uninstall the Corsair drivers and let Windows install the generic audio drivers. Do you have any problems with it or is it still the same?
mans51
It seems to work now thanks. atleast for the moment being. Thanks for the help :)
Toasted
Check Event Viewer and see if you can find any entries related to the Corsair Headset software.
mans51
well the issue being sound not working at all, except for certain windows related programs. flash makes the drivers go haywire, and then sound for all other programs stops. the trick of just installing the basic drivers works, but denies me access to the headsets control, which is a pity, I liked the control over it. I'm not sure what I'd be supposed to look for in that log, either, sorry.
Toasted
Open Event Viewer>Windows Logs>Application. If you recall the time and date the error occurred, have a look at the time/date in Event Viewer and see if its related to the headset and flash.
