H100i - manual firmware install?

I have installed Corsair Link on a recently installed Win 8.1 system. Latest Beta version of Link from this forum.

 

My H100i doesn't show up in the program although it did under Windows 8.

 

I have the option to update the firmware to 1.05 when I first install Corsair Link and then run for the first time. But it fails...after that there is no option to update the firmware because Link doesn't see the H100i...

 

I think I need to update the firmware so Link sees it - any ideas?

 

I have tried 3 different USB headers on the motherboard.

Have you tried mini USB B to Type A cable?

 

If it doesn't get detected when you are using the included USB cable. Try this and see if it helps.

the a to b cable didnt work either

A B cable didn't work either. Link detected new device and wanted a restart but the H100i still doesn't show up in the Link.

 

Will try the power management thing...

when it requests a reboot,do a cold boot,this flushes things out.,i have seen this issue before and its a easy check
