cesar3594
As It says, thinking about buying an corsair h80i liquid cooling system, I just need to know if it will be compatible and if I it would be easy to install on the ASUS p9x79 WS motherboard, because I've upgraded my pc but apparently my five year old alienware liquid cooler wasn't able to work with the board, kept getting "CPU Fan error!". Ill be installing it on a alienware Area 51 alx full tower case just to point that out incase it may not be able to work with the case, is it also LGA 2011 compatible? thanks guys

Wow awesome reply!! within minutes! highly impressed!!! my concerns is that the h80i has a 3 pin connector, but my cpu_fan pins is 4, is that a problem? Latharion
The 3-pin connector only reports the RPM of the pump to the BIOS. It should fit onto the 4-pin motherboard header as all 4-pin fan headers are also 3-pin compatible (for connection). The controls for the pump and fans are done through software (Corsair Link), and the pump's control connection is through USB.
