fluidz Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Hi Corsair, Hi recently bought a Corsair Rm850 Psu from Overclockers Uk retail store, and believe it may be faulty. On a cold boot my system freezes, but on a second attempt at booting all is fine. I have ruled out the memory by running memtest for 6+ hours. Also, i just reinstalled Windows 8, hoping that this issue may be fixed because of a software issue, I was wrong. I just downloaded the latest drivers for my card, using a clean install of Windows, when the drivers were installing, the screen went black as to update the drivers, which usually happens, but the system restarted itself! In the Event viewer, I found these logs : The previous system shutdown at 16:39:49 on 16/12/2013 was unexpected. Followed by, The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. My Corsair Rm 850 has the serial : 13357611000009530187 How long would a replacement take here in the Uk? Is it a swap-over? Would it be quicker for me to send it back to the retailer?
