I have RM 850W with Serial 1333, I noticed that it's getting really hot but i haven't seen it shuting down, my GPU's been runing hoter since i got this PSU thought, I am a bit worried now, Should i get it replaced or should i stick to it?

Also is there any test i can do to see if it shuts down? i have been playing games that my both SLI GPU's have been runing at 100% and i haven't seen any problems at all so far.

But it's heat, nothing to play with.. what if it starts to burn or something, im freaked out right now.

What should i do?!

Edit: My PC Spec is: i5 3570k, 2xMSI GTX670 Power Edition, 16GB Ram Corsair Dominator,MSI MPower Z77 Socket 1155, and RM 850W, Cooling is, CPU: Cooler Master Eisberg water cooling, And 7 Corsair SP120 Fans.

begin your own thread to avoid confusion and

add your pc specs so others will be able to better help you

your running sli and that alone is alot of juice flowing that will generate heat especially with a 850 psu.,,but whats the gpu..cpu ect..

I edited my post with PC specs, and my local PC shop said 850w would be enough for two GTX 670, it's not?

yes for those cards, but with everything going at full load your running the psu over 50% so heat will be noticeable

does its fan do its job,do you have good airflow in the case?

id just let things idle for a couple hours then see if the psu heat is lower, you can run a stress test but this will mainly show if power is being delivered.a sli also produces lots of heat,is this helping to heat the psu box?

you must take everything in consideration to see what may be causing the heat.

hope this gives you an idea on things...

Apparently it's closed, I have tried calling. Can't you help me out and make it an Express RMA? I need a new PSU that got the thermal issue fixed on these RM850W mine is 1333
I stated the hours of operations when I gave you the number to call. Only Customer Service can upgrade your ticket to an express RMA. To clarify, an express RMA is when we send the item first.

Why did you do an RMA? How is the PSU faulty? Do you think the fan is dead?

Even with the two graphics cards, you might not be pushing the PSU enough to turn the fan on, but I've found if you run Prime 95 on all but one of your CPU cores and Furmark at the same time, you're pretty much maxing out your system's power consumption.

Also, if you got the optional dongle, use the Link software to your advantage. How much power does Link say the +12V say you're putting out?
