wytnyt
using the hydro link only shows 1 led,to have additional 1's you need the link commander http://www.corsair.com/us/corsair-link/corsair-link-kits/corsair-link-cooling-kit.html what do you mean by max coolant temp? wytnyt
from my perspective if everything is working as it should be,case fans, cooler and all i would think the hydro shouldnt exceed 40c in a good system of course theres many variables to consider. my 3770k running full tilt will never go above 38 c
Darkom
good to know mine never goes over the 35-36. now another question, it just started less then 2 hours go, when i start my pc or when the fans hit a certain rpm 'slightly above 1500 rpm), im hearing a ticking sound very faint and when i remove side panel its gone. i have a 230mm fan on the side and i made sure that the power cable isnt in the way of the fan (have a grill attached on the inside) is it possible that with the vibration when the fans starting to spin that the other fan is making that noise? bought it less then a week ago
wytnyt
could be anything honestly, most likely culprits would be something touching the blades or a fan screw loose or a vibration from within the case thats aggravated by the sudden fan spin up... Miquiztli
Depending on the ratio of coolant to water its anywhere from 100.5c to 105c before the coolant starts boiling. assuming Propylene Glycol at 20-50% ratio to water. ( inversely low end is -3 to -34c )
wytnyt
it can never reach a boiling point even if it were to stop pumping the cpu temp would quickly spike and shutdown but the water wouldnt boil,,also if it were circulating the water is always well below cpu temp and most cpu's shutdown or throttle down before tjmax... Miquiztli
yes it can and even exceed tjmax. got the H100i up to 102 Celsius with a 960t and up to 85c on a 6300. Never assume that every motherboard or cpu will throttle or shutoff if TJ max is reached.

Miquiztli
please by all means give me the laws of physics that was supposedly broken for a 960t to reach 102 Celsius.
wytnyt
i didnt respond in regards of a 960t so ive no comment to this,in fact none other actually as its really of no pertinent interest
