maximum coolant temp of the H80i

good to know mine never goes over the 35-36.

now another question, it just started less then 2 hours go, when i start my pc or when the fans hit a certain rpm 'slightly above 1500 rpm), im hearing a ticking sound very faint and when i remove side panel its gone.

i have a 230mm fan on the side and i made sure that the power cable isnt in the way of the fan (have a grill attached on the inside)

is it possible that with the vibration when the fans starting to spin that the other fan is making that noise? bought it less then a week ago

it can never reach a boiling point

even if it were to stop pumping the cpu temp would quickly spike and shutdown but the water wouldnt boil,,also if it were circulating the water is always well below cpu temp and most cpu's shutdown or throttle down before tjmax...

yes it can and even exceed tjmax. got the H100i up to 102 Celsius with a 960t and up to 85c on a 6300. Never assume that every motherboard or cpu will throttle or shutoff if TJ max is reached.

the temp sensor doesnt measure coolant temp, it measures the copper plate temp, and assuming they didnt change waterblock designs between the h80 and h80i. even with the pump off you couldnt get the water temp that high, quite alot of mass to heat up.

you sir are an idiot
