mzahedi15
Hi! I'm not super tech-saavy and I was trying to use this flash drive to use as a boot for FreeNAS8 and it ended up corrupting the drive. I was able to format and partition it using the command prompt but now it's not working as well as it used to. It doesn't transfer files very quickly when plugged into a USB 3.0 slot and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
Yellowbeard
If you are on Windows (Vista, 7, or 8) Google Disk Part. Use the clean function to clean the drive and then create a new partition and format it.
mzahedi15
Hi there, thanks for the reply! That's actually exactly what I did but it's super slow in the USB 3.0 slot now. It takes forever to transfer file sizes and types that took way less time than before.
mzahedi15
I suppose what I mean to ask is if there is a driver of some sort for the Corsair 3.0 Survivor?
Yellowbeard
You don't need drivers in Windows with USB drives. Did you fully clean the drive before building a new partition? Also, are there any BIOS updates for your MOBO or any driver updates for the USB controller on your MOBO?
