ms40
Computer was unplugged for last 3 weeks while I was away. Started up today and temps 80-100 at idle, fans are full RPM but Pump RPM shows 0. Computer overheats and shuts off. Everything worked great before but after 3 weeks of no use the pump is not working. Is there anything I can try or is this thing toast.
wytnyt
look in your task monitor and see if theres 2 corsair processes running, theres no reason having it unplugged causing it to not work,id recheck wire hookup to insure nothing got bumped... wa3pnt
You didn't state, but two things: Is the LED on the Pump lit? Are the fans plugged into the Pump, or into the motherboard? The H100i should operate with the last profile used, even if Corsair Link is not operating. Also, when you said that the computer overheats and shuts off, are you basing that on the actual temperature of the CPU, or the fact that the motherboard is not receiving a CPU Fan input? The more details that you give us, the easier it will be to analyze what's going on. As wytnyt suggested, a thorough check of all cabling would be the first step in determining the problem. ms40
2 Corsairlink processes are running. Rechecked wiring a few times. Seems OK. LED is on, fans are plugged into the pump and function properly. Corsair link is operating, I can control the fans and LED but gauge shows zero for RPM on the pump. I am using the same profile as before. I believe the computer shuts down due to CPU overheating. I dropped the OC and installed my old air cooler so I can use the machine. Temps back to normal. I appreciate your input. Anything else I can try? Thanks.
JKeifer
Your computer being operational with the stock cooler indicates that the motherboard and CPU fan header are OK. You mentioned the pump RPM as 0. Was that with the Link software or in bios? If in bios (and Link as well), the pump's probably given up the ghost and needs to be replaced. ms40
I've tried everything over and over again. Pump RPM shows 0 in the Link Software. I'll submit the RMA request. Thanks again for your assistance.

Thanks again for your assistance. you need to make sure the pump rpm is at 0 in bios as the software can be reading wrong, also insure the tach wire from the cooler is connected to the cpu-fan header in order to get this reading in bios
