yet another corsair link issue

After installing my shiney new Corsair h100i closed loop cooling system.. I tried to install the link software but kept getting a BSOD.. I talked to a tech at corsair who told me to try different things such as updating my chipset etc.. I was finally able to get it to install by booting into safemode.. but when I open Link. it doesnt detect anything...

I know a lot of you say there are other (better) programs out there.. but here is the issue with that as I see it.. most of those other programs only monitor fans that are directly connected to the motherboard.. and the way the h100i and even the H80 are built.. they have these two little ports on the side of the pump that you are supposed to plug the fans into.. so I have all 4 fans plugged into the ports on the side of pump and as I said the link software doesnt even detect the pump.. I have tried different USB slots on the mobo to no avail..

yes.. I could plug the fans into the motherboard.. but as I only have 2x 4 pin sys_fan slots.. I couldnt get all 4 plugged into the board and be able to control them.. If you plug a 4pin fan into a 3pin slot.. it runs at 100% an you cannot control it

So in conclusion.. If any of you have experience with link and have an opinion or advice.. OR if any of you use one of these coolers and know of a program that can act like link does and be able to detect, monitor, and control the fans plugged into the pump?

there should be no bsod what so ever, check to insure your bios is up to date and that your running current .netframework.

when trying again make sure you do a full uninstall including the appdata folder and then a reinstall AFTER a cold boot...

My bios is up to date... I had to flash it when installing the CPU that I recently put in there.. I will try the .netframework as I am not sure what version I have.. the BSOD happens when installing link.. gets about 3/4 the way through and then crash... and when I did get it installed through safe mode and rebooted normally.. it doesnt detect anything
