Blel
HEY SMART HUMAN PERSON PLEASE READ THIS, AND MAYBE HELP THANKS! I'm loving many aspects of the k70, and btw i've had it for a few months now *without* any LED failures, but I'm having 2 (possibly related) problems, one of which is a minor annoyance and just plain curious, but the other is kind of a deal breaker for me and i'm hoping i don't have to RMA... -problem 1: about half the time (i haven't identified a pattern), when i boot up my computer, the bios gets stuck loading, with a motherboard LED error code b4 - USB Device Hot Plug in (see http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-z77x-ud5h_e.pdf). I get the blinking scroll lock light until I toggle the polling rate switch. At first I was getting by it and resuming the bootup by unplugging and replugging the keyboard, and then by toggling the polling rate switch, which also worked, but at one point I randomly pressed the LED brightness switch and realized that just toggling it to the next setting would resume the windows boot. what the hell. -problem 2: there is ghosting in my games. it seems to be sporadic, but when it's there it's aggressive. To be clear, what I'm talking about is that for example I'll be moving around in a game with wasd, holding shift to run, etc., and suddenly i'll find myself with my pants down, holding down, say, the "d" key, and *just the "d" key, and my character will not strafe to the right until I fully release the solitary key and/or all other keys, and re-press it. It can happen in the middle of a long series of key presses/key holding, but it can *also* happen after only a short sequence. Switching polling rates does not seem to have any effect. I don't notice it for days at a time, but sometimes I notice it multiple times within seconds - it can really mess me up in fpses in particular... i would have never bought this keyboard if i thought i might even possibly be affected by even a temporary inconvenience of ghosting or the pain that is an RMA... please help! anyone had similar problems? I'm not sure if these 2 problems are even connected, but it seems like maybe the times windows boots without issue are connected to the times of ghost-free keyboarding bliss... P.S. I have tried all the usb ports on my computer, direct and no, 2.0 and 3.0, even a hub! also no other usb devices have caused this malfunction. o0Breaker0o
I'm having the same issue as you regarding the ghosting while gaming. The ghosting started 4 days ago while playing battlefield 4, and it's really annoying. it also started not to work after hibernation, the led are off and none of the keys respond. some times a have to reconnect the usb for it to work again or else i have to reboot. Toasted
Move the BIOS switch at the front of the keyboard to the BIOS position. See if it can boot. Have a look at the USB BIOS settings and see if there may be something that is causing the issue. Refer to your motherboard's user manual for the BIOS. Have you tried flashing the K70 FW to 1.09? Blel
i thought i mentioned it in the op, but if youre asking for clarification yes it will still sometimes hang on BIOS mode until i switch it (if i don't just hit the led birghtness switch); it's the same behavior no matter what position it's set on. and, also yes, by updated everything i mean 1.09 as well as all other drivers/firmware on my pc... as far as i can tell 1.09 didn't affect anything :/ to Breaker: i currently run my computer without hibernation enabled but i'm going to turn it back on today and see if i can reproduce the other problem, I'll let you know if i get the same thing or not... that seems a little more severe for it to require a full replug... i'll check it out... and yeah bf4... nothing more frustrating than posting up for a split second to ads and shoot a a guy, and then you try to continue on your way but NOPE you're stuck in place getting shot in the face...
