Aaron33
All, I recently built a new system with a hx 750 gold psu. It would not power up, all I got was the green light on the MB power button. System specs are the ones listed in my profile. I then tried the recommended psu test using the paperclip from the corsair website. When powered on, the attached case fan would only spin for less than 1 sec, then stop. I assume this is a failed test, and thus a doa psu? I just wanted to make sure before I RMA the unit. It's one of the newer 750hx's who's fan only spins at a high load.
peanutz94
You may need more than one case fan for the PSU to sense enough of a load to power up. If you have another fan or two I would try it one more time. If it still does the same thing, then yes, RMA it.
