Breimeister
This morning when I turned on my system I heard a strange whirring noise for a few seconds and the bios reported that the CPU fan failed. I was asked to check the bios and when I did, everything seemed fine and the cpu pump was running silent again at about 2300 rpm. I closed the bios and it booted into Windows okay. What I did notice is that the H100i led was cycling from dark red to bright red. (It is red because the other two colours no longer work) I started the Corsair Link software to check things out and everything was okay and the led stopped cycling. Obviously this H100i is starting to have problems and the question I have is, should I wait until my H100i totally fails to request an RMA or should I request one now? OdinValknir
Why wait for it to totally fail? this seems like a "no brainer" if the pump is failing.. or ANY integral part is failing or has failed.. I would do it now.. a lot of companies would probably say.. "If you knew you had a problem, why did you wait until you had a catastrophic failure before requesting RMA?" Corsair is one of the better companies for standing behind their products and helping to resolve issues..
peanutz94
Yeah, dont wait , get your RMA started and if you have a valid credit card you might consider asking for an advanced replacement so you get it in a couple of days. Please use the link on the left to request an RMA.
Breimeister
I don't relish the work involved replacing the h100i but I will probably try for an advanced replacement RMA this Monday. I am starting to wish I had stuck with cpu air cooling.
