Need help from Corsair personnel.

I recently bought a new pc from a local company that provides me with 2 year warranty from their store. Basically this means that for 2 years they do free service to my pc and if there is a faulty component they give me a new one right away and they deal with the RMA themselves (so i don't have to pay shipping costs, request RMA etc).

My problem is that i have a CX 750M with extremely loud coil whine when loading 3D applications. My first reaction was to follow the RAM GUY post about Noisy PSU's (http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=85166)

So i disabled the CPU power saving features in the BIOS, enabled Vsync in the Nvidia Control pannel as the thread says without any improvement. I even switched PSU's with another pc. Mine stopped whining and the other started to whine.

Being sure that the PSU was causing it, i gave my computer to the company/store expaining the problem. They tested it and they confirmed the noise. BUT! They said that since the noise isn't causing any problem to the function of the computer and that the PSU works correctly beside the noise they can't RMA it because the RMA wouldn't be accepted and they can't risk that.

Since they insist that Coil Whine isn't a reason to RMA i now need to give them proof that it is. I really don't know what i should give them in order to convince them but i have to try at least.

Really need your help here!

Thanks in advance!

Since they insist that Coil Whine isn't a reason to RMA i now need to give them proof that it is. Being really frustrated, i decided to create this post with the hope that someone from Corsair could help. I really don't know what i should give them in order to convince them but i guess a formal e-mail to my e-mail would do it. I have to try at least.

Yes, you most certainly can RMA the PSu for coil whine and you do not need to go to great lengths to prove it. Simply use the link on the left to request an RMA to get you started. If you have a copy of your original purchase invoice be sure to attach that to your ticket as well if you want to do this your self. Otherwise just show your local shop this thread for proof that the PSU IS RMA able for coil whine, and if they have any further questions they can also be answered here.

Cheers!
