JR23
I've had an AX860 for nearly a year but when I last rebuilt my PC a few months back I turned it upside down so the fan faces into my case because its prettier than the sticker and the cables fit better. Since doing this I have never not even once seen the fan spin even slowly! The other day I got a plug which tells you the power draw at the wall, it's probably not really accurate but I was just interested. With two GTX780's and 4820k clocked at 4.6ghz my peak draw while stress testing was 580 watts! I ran quite a few different things for quite some time and the PSU just sat there being all cool and not spinning. I just wanted to say that its freaking awesome! That is if its not broken and it should technically be spinning lol. (the fan works perfectly if I turn hybrid mode off) JR

As long as the PSU is nice and cool and your system stable you should be good to go. Just for testing purposes, i would run Prime95 and Furmark at the same time. This should get your fan to run. If it doesn't , then you'll want to have it replaced.
JR23
I see you got a promotion to support assistant! hehe nice :D: I ran OCCT PSU burntest (which is more or less furmark + prime) and it doesn't seem to care, it never gets hot. I'll probably try that again with my little plug and see what its drawing at the wall. Perhaps with running slightly negative case pressure it's inherently cooled well enough by my case fans? Just the way Corsair describe it sounds as if its entirely load based. Is there a load point at which it should definitely spin up or is it infact entirely temp based?
