Vengeance 1500 Software Corrupting Sound

Hello,

This is the first headset I have bought from Corsair, and had treated me quite well so far. Have not had any real issues with the headset itself, but there has been a weird little quirk that somewhat bothers me. Corsair offers a downloadable software for the headset, presumably for tweaking the sound, etc. but I tried to use it, and immediately after download, many of the lower range sounds had an obnoxious "buzzing" effect, as if a bass driver was loose in the headset. I tweaked and adjusted, to no avail, and finally I just uninstalled it. When not installed, the bass ranges are the same amplitude but do not "buzz", therefore I assume that this must be a problem with the software itself. If anyone could tell me how to fix this, or if it is fixable, that would be great!!

Ive got the same problem, as the op.

Brand new, bought 2/3 days ago.

Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers/cp software and to no avail.

The only time the headset doesnt have the intermittent buzz is when its in 2.0 mode with no drivers/software.

Only once did i get the 1500,s to work properly, and that was with 1.0 drivers/software.

Do Corsair have 'back catalogue' of drivers?

Any help solving this problem would be great.

Failing that, the headset is going back to the retailer.

You can get the beta drivers here.

Do you still get the issue when the headset is plugged into another computer?

Have you tried disabling the On-board Audio in the BIOS?

Have you tried uninstalling any other audio driver/s?

I have tried all of those, and it depends on the computer whether or not it still does it or not. My friends desktop, it does, my mother's laptop, it does not. Strange.
