OK i have a corsair AX650 since 2011, and i have the same problem.

It appeared this year (2013) in may and i thought at first it was my cases power up button acting weird.

Posted in a computer forum, they said it might be my motherboard, didnt listen to them. And save a whole day dismanlting my pc.

Left it alone as it wasnt very annoying, because it would boot up rather easy.

But this week it became worse, fighting to boot up my pc for 5 minutes,

so i searched for "corsair power up problem" in google... and here i am....

When i shut down, it wont reboot up easy, i have to make tricks with the power button a lot of times.

I click once and it seems to power up the usb devices but not boot up.

Then i press 5 seconds to close usb power supply. (PC is not powering up)

Before it resupply the usb devices i tap fast the powerbutton fast. And it might start.

Sometimes it just reboots itself after the 5second "force power off" button.

Sometimes, i press the power on button "pc is not booting" then just press 5 seconds to close all power, wait another 5 seconds and then it reboots itself and pc is working !

So i have to do RMA now ?

Bought it in NOV 11' for 143.23€ So i can have a reliable power supply (sigh)

Maybe this is the reason for not working...

you can submit a rma to have your unit replaced but i doubt the ''made in china'' is the reason for its failure.most products we use in every day life are foreign made and the build quality has increased exponentially over the years.it unfortunate our manufacturing industry has decreased to such as it is but even products made here has its failures also.

  • 3 weeks later...

Send the requested invoice pics. Crossing My fingers :)

Just a sidenote: The PSU when its cold outside, turns on more willingly

e.x. with only two-three tries.

Plus i have randomly BF4 lock ups, and sometimes i dont.

Furthermore, if the pc goes to sleep mode, and i reopen it, it shuts down after 5-10 minutes.

Might be software related. But who knows !
