knijo
Hi, here is the thing. I purchased this motherboard Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard DDR3 1333 Motherboard i searched on this site http://www.corsair.com/learn_n_explore but i did't find that motherboard model so im just wondering which memory ram should i buy. im thinking on this one: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-1x4GB-Laptop-Memory-CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9/dp/B002YU83YO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1385823087&sr=8-4&keywords=ddr3+4+gb+corsair but i got a Kingston before and had incompatibility issues.. i dont want that happen again so please help me. Another question, if i buy a 1600mhz and my motherboard is up to 1333mhz, i guess the ram(1600mhz) will run but to 1333mhz, am i wrong? or maybe the ram will not run at all? BTW, sry for my bad english
peanutz94
Hi knijo, I'm sorry, but no, those would not be compatible. As a matter of fact most if not all of Corsairs memory would be incompatible with your system due to size of the memory chips used to make the modules and limitations of your chipset. Would you please be more specific? are you saying that the one would not be compatible is the one i'm thinking on or the last question i made. peanutz94
are you saying that the one would not be compatible I'm saying NONE of them would be compatible. Sorry, I'm not sure why most of my last post didn't post. there was supposed to be more information to that. I'll link a thread that has a more detailed answer. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=123463 Most of Corsairs memory has been changed to these larger chips except for a few part numbers . Unfortunately, there is no way to track down what kits have or are using the smaller sized chips, so I would rather tell you they are totally not compatible than you take the chance of ordering or purchasing something that isn't going to 100% work. But if you want to take the risk you could try them. If they do work they would downclock to 1333mhz.
