Athlon64 Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Im trying to buy ram on black friday specials and ordered vengance pro ddr3 1866 for my as rock board for the system im building, i canseled the order becouse when you look at the ram product page it has compatible for intell and i looked on the corsair webb sight, it does not have the Extream 9 board listed What ram will work on this board, and i need a answer right away please. While most of Corsairs memory is tested on Intel based systems they are still completely compatible with an AMD system as well. It's up to you Athlon, Myself and a few others are Official helpers on this forum. As you know they are closed for the weekend, so it will likely be Monday or so before one of the employees see this. Athlon64 Posted November 29, 2013 Author Share Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks for the fast reply, well if you say it will work just fine ile reinstate the order, you might suggest for corsair to update the ram compatability computatior thing and list ram for AMD, thanks again, ile let you know after xmass if this thing will boot and run ok with the new FX9590 5gig w/ water cooled cpu. and i will be asking info on setting the ram timeings, they used to be just plain in bois, now the arnt calling it cas, ras, and the like, now they get all confuseing with it, so i will post up what it says and you guys tell me what to set what to ok? Reordered, heck of a deal on it on newegg black friday adds. Fell better about it now, was stressing on what will work with it, the ram compatible list on as rock webb sight doesen't even list corsair in the 1866 list for this board, it only has a few and none were corsair, the ones listed were strange models they had laying around the shop at asrock i gess, They need to test this stuff with main stream ram that is readly accessible and available to regular consumers You know?
